Arizona was a flop, Kansas City was not

Day two of auditions start are in Kansas City, MO. The home of Dave Cook, last years American Idol. Speaking of last years American Idol, Another contestant from last year was at the audition supporting his brother. That’s right folks, my favorite Idol, Jason Castro was there. Last year, we got to see how he was, and tonight we got to see if it runs in the family.

I have to say, I hate to do this, but I am gonna call it, Von is going to go far. If you’re not sure who that is? He’s the one with the white hat that sings Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I don’t want to call him the winner, because the last time I did that was Sanjaya, and we all know how that went. In the past, we have seen many past contestants bring their siblings in for an audition, and none have made it through to Hollywood Week. Tonight, Jason Castro brought his brother in, and for the first time a sibling made it through. He was actually pretty good, considering he only started singing 20 days before the audition.

In the end, this was an amazing show. They put through almost 30 people, and almost all the ones they showed were absolutely amazing. I hate to say it, and sound all commercial, but if it keeps up like this, then we are going to have an amazing season.

Two cities down, six more to go. See you all next Tuesday. Until Then, go in peace.

I dodged the entire season of Idol last year. It didn’t seem too entertaining. But I caught this episode tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. I’m kind of looking forward to this season.
