Half Down, Half Left. What Will Happen Next?

And the results are in.  Who is moving on and who isn’t?  Just remember, whatever happens, it’s all your fault.  Once they finish the “How did they get here” montage, a group sing along of “Closer”, and another montage recapping last nights show, we finally get to start to find out who is going home.

First up was Allison Iraheta, Jesse Langseth, and Matt Breitzke to take center stage, one of them making it through. That person was Allison. Good choice from America so far. This girl is really amazing for being sixteen.  She’s got such a mature voice in her, and if she doesn’t make albums after this competition, I will be very surprised.

Then Megan Joy Corkrey, Kris Allen, Matt Giraud, Jeanine Vailes are up. Then they narrow it down to Kris and Megan. I want both of them to get through, but again, only one makes it. The next one to take it into the top 12 is Kris. See, I knew it. I knew, no matter who was chosen from my four predicted, I knew I wouldn’t be happy either way. Megan was awesome, but that’s ok, we still have the Wild Card night.

With one spot left to fill, they take a break and bring back Brooke White to perform her first single “Hold Up My Heart”. I admit, I gave her alot of crap last season, but she grew on me, and I’m glad to hear she got herself a record deal. It was also a very cute contemporary song.

We finally get back to the last of the results with Mishavonna Henson, Kai Kalama, Nick Mitchell, Adam Lambert, and Jasmine Murray all going up at once.  With very little delay, they send home Mishavonna, Kai, and Jasime, leaving Adam and Nick waiting to find out who gets the last seat. In true Idol fashion, they make them wait till after the break. Without any delay after the break, they send Adam through to the top twelve, and Normund goes home.  I would really love to see him make it into the top twelve durring the Wild Card week, but at least he will always be able to work on cruise ships.

So that’s that folks. Six down, six more to go. Next week, we get the last of the top 36 and then, hopefully soon, we will have the official results for the top 12.
