I must give credit to BET for putting together things so quickly and making the effort but to me the effort was a complete waste of time!Showing tribute and giving recognition to Michael was more than well deserved!But they should have recruited folks that have actually worked with the man or are close friends!!!Such as Quincy Jones,Stevie Wonder,Mick Jagger,Paul McCartney, or possibly Mariah Carey since she did cover “I’ll be there” But at least someone that is worthy of being in the same category as Michael!The performances further proved to me that artists do not seem to take pride in their work!I could find someone on the street that sings better than most of those artists up there on that stage last night!With the exception of Beyonce…she sounded amazing!I think New Edition,Guy,Bel Biv Devoe,Maxwell were all cool but nothing to get impressed or excited over.Glad to see that The O’Jays were acknowledged.And I find Jaime Foxx amusing but much of his material I found to be in poor taste and not suitable for a young audience.Especially if you are trying to show Tribute to Michael!Have some class! But then again lately Jaime doesn’t seem to know where to draw the line.Tsk,tsk! Lil Wayne’s performance included so many profanities that most of his squandering was bleeped out!What was even the point of that performance?!Great role model there for our children!Just because someone thinks they want to be a star doesn’t mean that they deserve to be! And truly not one single performance from the awards show can even hold a candle to any bad performance that Michael could of ever had!And we all know that ain’t ever happened! lol I am pleased that Michael was shown so much love and respect ,I wish more of that would have been expressed when HE WAS HERE! Miss Janet Jackson…Bless her heart and God bless her!I know that was very difficult for her.They sure don’t make em like they use to and we need to make sure to appreciate the superstars that are still here with us!

• New Edition opening the show with a Jackson 5 set.
• Ne-Yo’s performance of “Lady in my Life” was fantastic.
• The O’Jays brought a bit of nostalgia and class that the
show LACKED overall.
• Maxwell was all class
• Janet’s surprise appearance brought me to tears.
The rest was A HOT MESS.
People going up there and just saying what came to mind made the whole show look amateur-ish and distasteful.
Michael was all about good music. Most of the performances last night DID not represent that at all.
They should have waited and taken the time to do better-organized and more respectful tribute later on.

That was a complete waste of my time. BET dropped the ball on this one. I am through with BET.
If they were going to give this “Tribute” they should have moved it to a later date, like his birthday or something and forgo the awards. It was very messy and unorganized and appeared to be a ploy for ratings (a bad one a that).
Janet was the only saving grace, other than that, this was a complete waste of time.

Maxwell did good.(love him) The rest I didn’t see. (couldn’t watch it from here) but read that ppl are not all that happy about how it all went down. But… Ya know.. They only had like two days to put the show together so..I dunno.
