In a way I would be very shocked if PRN did this. It’s annoying how everyone compares them. “I could retire with a photo of PRN and MJ together”. Remember that line anyone? If PRN did a MJ tribute it would be his choice of course. However, as a Prince fan, I would feel disappointed if he did. For me, Prince is too much of a conductor to jump on the great big MJ train.

If it weren’t for the type of competition they both were engaged in back in the day, we wouldn’t have had the incredible tours such as Bad and Lovesexy.

They both mustered up some serious accomplishments, each helping each other in some odd but beneficial way. To pit them against each other is a disservice to what Prince and Michael achieved.

I had to stand up for Michael all the time at Housequack.com and still do at other sites…

I didn’t think that P-Man would do a MJ tribute concert but I am sure that he has some level of respect for MJ’s work. I would love to see him do a concert before I die. I LUV the little purple one!!!!!

Then how do U explain him trying to break Prince 21 nights in London record then? That is competitive in the same category as jealousy to me.

Glad this is not happening, it would just be too bizarre. Prince can play tribute to Michael in so many other ways that are more meaningful and classy. Cover him at his shows for example, which he’s done for MJ and Janet songs, esp. on the 2006 Tamar dates.

If I recall the last time Prince did a tribute performance was George Harrison( The Guitar Gently Weeps) and there was a lot of mess behind that….the Tom Petty group didn’t want Prince but George Harrison’s son said he wanted Prince. I don’t Prince has entered into any talks to do a Michael Jackson tribute…I personally hope he doesn’t. I think Prince deals with death in ways we will never be privy to.
