Oh Lord! Justin Timberlake Is “Bringing MySpace Back?”

Justin Timberlake. File Photo

We all stopped using Myspace a year or so ago, right?  Well, Justin Timberlake along with a few other investors just bought Myspace.

Why?  Read The Rest Of This Entry……

Justin Says:

“There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. MySpace has the potential to be that place.”

“Art is inspired by people and vice versa, so there’s a natural social component to entertainment. I’m excited to help revitalize MySpace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community.”

Hmm.  The man who mas majority ownership Tim Vanderhook had this to say:

“We’re thrilled about the opportunity to rebuild and reinvigorate MySpace. We look forward to partnering with someone as talented as Justin Timberlake, who will lead the business strategy with his creative ideas and vision for transforming MySpace.”

Not sure if this will work.  Myspace should have had the tech that if we disable our account, we could always get it back, like Facebook.

Will you go back to Myspace?  Do you still have a Myspace account?-Dr.FB

Diagnosis:  Been months since I logged in.

Oh dear. MySpace is on the way out. I deleted my account the other day after too much spam and friend requests from weird guys. Justin should stop wasting his time with that site and get back in the studio!

What is MySpace? Does this mean Timberlake is going to shut down his Facebook account with 10 million fans? That’s probably more than the people that use MySpace… Kind of like Bono buying into Palm, are they still around (talking about Palm – just saw U2 last night in Miami)
