Jennifer Lopez is opening up in the latest issue of Vanity Fair with her on the cover.  She speaks about her marriage saying “It was not right” and how she still believes in love and marriage and that it was her biggest dream to make the marriage work.

Jennifer spoke candidly about the marriage and trying to make it work when asked;

“That was my biggest dream, and I really worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn’t work—and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love, “It’s still my biggest dream. I am positive—determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.”

There is no doubt Jennifer wanted this marriage to work but at no time during the interview did she throw Marc under the bus for his alleged affairs over the years.  She did however not mention him as a great husband or father but rather only spoke of him professionally;

“I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic—and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”

Jennifer also talked about where her mind-set is now after the divorce;

I’m a hopeless romantic and passionate person when it comes to love. It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself—if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.”

That message right there speaks volumes.  We love J. Lo.  We wish nothing but the best for her career, her family, and for her love.

    I really think Jennifer Lopez should TRY to remember where she came from. I PERSONALLY know for a FACT that Holy Family Church has tried to contact Jennifer Lopez on numerous occassions to get involved with the children and community back home in the Castle Hill area of The Bronx. It seems that she’s forgotten about the little people and all she’s concerned with are the “ROCKS” that she’s got. I personally can’t wait until she meets up with Saint Peter and he sends her DOWNSTAIRS…lets see how much good her “ROCKS” are going to do downstairs with Lucifer!

    I do not want to hear all the J Lo publicity. All I know is when she was with Marc Anthony all she got was positive press. Looks like she’s going right back into the DRAMA QUEEN lifestyle. Lets see how many men are in her future. What goes on behind closed doors between a husband and wife should stay there. I’m thinking being with Marc wasn’t such a bad thing…at least he kept her QUIET!

    Thumbs up to J Lo! I wish more celebrities demonstrated this much class when speaking about their mates in a public forum following a split.
