03 Jan Pastor Ted Haggard Argues With Newscasters Over Gay Marriage

Leave it to Good Day L.A.’s Steve Edwards and Jillian Reynolds to ask the serious questions to Pastor Ted Haggard instead of just talking about “Wife Swap” today.

Ted was appearing on Good Day L.A. with Gary Busey to promote “Wife Swap” and any interview with Gary Busey is going to either get intense or wacky.  This time, it was more intense than wacky.

Esteemed newscaster Steve Edwards took off the gloves and asked his opinion on gay marriage.  After Haggard tried to blend in gay marriage with civil unions, Jillian Reynolds stepped in and let Haggard know there is a difference between gay marriage and civil unions.

Haggard tried to avoid it at first and tried to say he is not in image management or damage control but Jillian would not let him escape.  You go woman!

It is somewhat hypocritical of haggard who was busted cheating on his wife with a male prostitute to be so outspoken of gay marriage. He will only somewhat admit to maybe being a bisexual but still opposes gay marriage.   It just goes to show, the more you protest something, the more you most likely are doing it your damn self.

Good Day L.A. had some controversy last year when Kat Von D. was in the green room of the show and just broke up with Jesse James for the umpteenth time and were told that no questions were off-limits.  Kat stormed off before appearing on the show, calling Good Day L.A. dirty, when it was actually kat’s publicist who made the gaff.
