Adam Lambert’s new cd “Trespassing” has debuted at number one, showing who the real American Idol always was. Will the CD have staying power however?

Adam promoted the heck out of this CD and we are glad it debuted at number 1.  What troubles us is that it didn’t crack the 100,000 mark.

John Mayer’s new CD “Born & Raised” will debut at number 1 next week, selling over 200,000 copies to 250,000 copies without him being able to sing a lick due to his throat issues.

Yes, we are troubled but call us crazy, because we could see this CD have the staying power of Adele where it just keeps hanging around for a while.  We are not delirious though, and know the CD will drop off a little next week.  We believe in Adam and have a feeling he will be “Trespassing” on the Billboard charts with quite some time with several hit singles from this CD.-DocFB

I’m not sure why he’s even talked about on Dr. Funkenberry. We hear about him and….Prince, in the same pages….makes me crazy.

Convinced that this CD sales #’s will grow once genuine radio airplay occurs…it is a feat that without a hit single and significant radio airplay, that this CD hit #1…may take a bit of time, but it may inded reach #1, or close to it, again…..

Promteed the hell out of it? Um, where on the internet where tons of his fans aren’t? He only had one TV appearence that Canada watch and it was idol, but yet he still debuted #1 overall here, can you imagine how great he’d do if they actually gave him some promo here? That is where the “if” lies, will his team market him better now? Hope so, cuz he has one hell of a good album!!

While the debut number may be somewhat disappointing for the die-hard fans, you’ve got to bear in mind that this happened with virtually no radio play, and he’s been out of the mainstream public eye for over 2 years. Putting it in perspective, this is no shabby feat!

I am glad he got number 1 hopefully he will get more of the recognition that he deserves now.
