30 Nov Hannah Ford Releases Rehearsal Jam! PRINCE’s “I Like It There” Listen Now!
Hannah Ford just unleashed a rehearsal jam of “I Like It There” through her Facebook Fan Page and it is hot!
During the last week of November 2012, Hannah Ford was invited to Funky Town, MPLS by the one n only and they recorded this rehearsal jam while there. Hannah is the latest addition to the NPG btw. Check it out!

Drumming is like not up 2 Prince’s level so it’s like he’s not going there where he could with his guitar..experienced musician somehow bring the best of each other..I wonder why Prince surrounds himself with very young girls, maybe it’s time 2 find more mature muse or muses.
Having heard some amazing guitar playing live from Prince this is just lacks that drop-audiences-jaws passion.

Posted at 23:16h, 30 Novemberwow. this is great. something new & different. what an awesome gutiarist prince is. right now while writing this 20/20 is interviewing toni braxton how she got screwed by her record company. doesn’t that sound familier. if the artist doesn’t understand their contract where in the hell is the manager & lawyer. what a shame. only worried about their cut. regarding a comment about prince & religion that is uncalled for. leave him alone. regarding hannah ford, i never heard of her, thanks to prince i now know her. that’s a good thing. thanks doc, hannah & prince for letting us hear what you’re doing. it makes my day, sincerely

Let’s be honest, I do not like every song that Prince releases, however, this dude has been here since the 70’s and he has more talent in his little finger compared to some of the other stumble bums that are out here now TRYING to act like a musician. Didn’t you hear that guitar? Are you deaf? Come on…..

As for Ms. Ford – bad, bad career move. Look into the history of all whom worked with Prince… tread carefully.

Posted at 10:53h, 30 NovemberI always enjoy hearing the rehearsals from days of ol.They were entertaining to hear him callin out the cues etc.And the music was good.It was as if you heard what was being created in that moment.I am a bit surprised by the sloppiness at the beginning of this rehearsal.Why turn a hard R&R song into a candy coated dream at 2:04?Of course the best part about this whole thing is simply his guitar playing that starts at 2:28 as Katerina said.You will not sell me on another drummer taking that seat other than John Blackwell.He keeps the time & stays on the beat.Some things just don’t need to be changed or altered.As I have found with most of his remakes lately the originals shine even brighter now.Same as with this joint. Many artists attempt to stay current and follow the “flavor of the moment” Prince doesn’t need to fall victim to that.He just needs to lead.I admire the fact that he is mentoring talent.I know that I may sound like I had a big glass of purple haterade today.But I guarantee you that I support this man and HIS talent.I simply know that he is capable of doing better and he cannot count on anyone else to keep it more real than me.
