29 May Miguel Unapologetic After Twitter Rant Calling “Black People Most Judgmental”

Miguel is offering no apologies after calling “Black people the most judgmental people in the world” on Twitter over Memorial Day weekend. Unlike other artists, he hasn’t deleted his tweets.

Im proud of my heritage but honestly, black people are the most judgmental people in the world. Shits sad man.

Following that tweet were others stating: “we’ve been conditioned, pre-programmed to hate ourselves”, “that’s why I appreciate those who choose to think and act for themselves regardless of ethnicity or culture”, “the problem can not be fixed until the problem is recognized. Not everyone is the same thank goodness. And obviously, I love all my fans”, “Of course EVERYONE is judgemental (sic). I just PERSONALLY believe WE are the most critical of our own”

I would think it is safe to assume that Miguel’s audience is of the R&B/Soul genre, if that is all black, white, or baby blue, is up to you. Twitter is a good thing. Twitter is a bad thing. You can’t read all the things bad about you and believe them. At the same time, you can’t read all the good things about you and believe them. You are letting someone into your home by viewing the responses your tweets get. Do you really want that energy brought into your home?

You have to be careful what you put out on Twitter. It can be deleted but it is captured and out there. As we stated, Miguel hasn’t deleted it but that is one big hole to get out of. People will be judgmental but it all starts from within. If you don’t give people the power to judge you, you will win. Every time.-DocFB
