*Sigh, I flew in from Etats Unis so….
AND Demaris isn’t a dancer. Grateful that she is a dark skinned sister 9 crumbs from Yoda…
I wasn’t fooled by the “Afterparty” misnomer. I knew I was paying to a LG concert. CUZ U DON’T PAY TO GO TO AN AFTERPARTY!!!
It was nice to see Prince up close instead of on a monitor as i would have at MSG in NYC.
I’m still in his snare though and will see him again. Wonder if Purple can write some stuff for LG and DROP A NEW ALBUM FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE. I mean geez I was on the first run of GCS and was the person singing along with “Biscuit”.

Posted at 07:49h, 17 JulyI think the picture was taken last Friday, July 12th, at North Sea Jazz, they (Prince and Larry Graham) jammed there too and later on Larry Graham jammed on stage during Santana’s gig, Larry drumming on his guitar, it was great ! Carlos Santana also jammed on stage during Larry Grahams gig at North Sea Jazz, Port of Rotterdam, to bad I was late to see Prince that day.

Yeah, Larry, Prince always has to hook up Larry so he has a gig… and hooking him up with residuals for playing Larry’s “jams”…
I laugh! Illuminati fans and top40 fams thought the last Prince may have had a falling out with Larry was true… prrrfft! It isn’t! As you can see here, its still the same, old tired, Prince and Larry on stage thing thats been going on ever since Prince got JW baptized… same thing, different skin… clothes that is… except for Larry… who looks the same… doing that same tired bass Mr. slick thing ove rand over and over and over again… with Prince… doing the same thing over and over again… it’s like a Hippie One Night Alone… same thing.. over and over again…

Just coming back into cyberworld have been offline since queueing for main show from 1700 Saturday then after main show in queue for tickets to aftershow.
Yes, this was was billed as NPG aftershow starring Larry Graham, my and the majority of the other fans interpretation is that the NPG would perform and Larry will join them. I didn’t expect Prince to sing, though held out he may play a little though this did not bother me, that would be a bonus. It was no such thing. The show was effectively a Graham Central Station concert, I have plenty of respect for Larry Graham as a bassist, simply he is a beast. I will qualify that with I would never pay CHF 100 to see him and GCS.
The extent of NPG involvement was
-Prince coming out introducing his mate Larry
-Hannah and Ida sipping wine and grooving wings stage left (Yes, Hannah busted doing your air Bass guitar thing:) .
-Shelby J singing the song “cant stand the rain”
-NPG dancing on stage for 5 min
– Reduced NPG Hornz played for 15min.
– Cassy on keys for 15 min
20 minutes from the end
-Prince playing guitar for 60 seconds then walking off, not sure whether not happy with the guitar.
– came back for a few minutes on organ barely audible
– right at end played 5 min of guitar, dropped it walking off stage and never heard of until 14th July in Stravinski auditorium.
Larry bass playing was exceptional, but after 20 min. I was bored therefore took accurate note of “NPG” component of the aftershow. 25 min from a 2hr show.
This was a nice little money grab from Prince for his mate Larry. No wonder Larry kept yelling out how much he loves Montreux….
This is another case of Prince crying “wolf”!

Posted at 23:39h, 14 JulyI am a fan and was not impressed this time. Prince is a diva… leaving the stage after 40 min, doing it several times and playing only 1h 1/2. After paying 175, it was a rip-off. He didn’t play any guitar and a lot of of people dancing on the stage. Only OK was the band. Tamara is a model not a dancer. Sad to say this. It is my last concert of the purple one.
