David Bowie has just released a new music video for “Valentine’s Day” from his critically acclaimed “The Next Day” album.

For a lot of people, “Valentine’s Day” is their favorite song from “The Next Day” album.

It is good to see this much Bowie in a video. With each one, we are getting more from him.

The song is inspired by the 2008 Valentine’s Day Northern Illinois University shooting. Twice in the video, Bowie holds his guitar like Charlton Heston does in his famous NRA speech about taking a his gun from his cold dead hands. Hmm.-DocFB

Diagnosis: Gun control is still an issue 30 years later. If it is at a University or a teen carrying Skittles wearing a hoody. I guess I know what I want next “Valentine’s Day”…and it sure ain’t chocolate!

Modernaire, I think many people throughout the country and especially the African American community have bought into all the misreporting by the media and figures like Al Sharpton and others including the whole “teen carrying Skittles wearing a hoody” rhetoric. There’s so much more to the story than that simple BS. Unfortunately, no matter what truths come forth, many will still believe what THEY want to believe and not the TRUTH. It’s a sad society we live in when things go right to race when race had little if nothing to do with that dark night between Zimmerman and Trayvon. I’m telling you, it doesn’t matter if Trayvon had been black, white, hispanic, asian, middle eastern or any other race. Wearing clothing that disguises who you are and coming across in a suspicious manner in a neighborhood that has had crime will get you approached by a neighborhood watch person out and about patrolling the area. Trust. It’s only a matter of time.

As for the David Bowie and song. It’s not my favorite song on the album or anywhere close. Kinda too short and boring. Also, the video would’ve been much better if the FULL BAND had been a part of it playing their instruments behind David around all the pillars. With just David and a guitar it’s a bit kinda like…YYYYAAAWWWNNN.

A teen wearing a thug culture hoodie and carrying skittles that ended up bashing the head of someone on CONCRETE.

You liberals leave out that last part conveniently.
