Kanye West Taps Rick Rubin To Produce Next Album Again: “He Is Not A Producer, He Is A Reducer”

What are the odds we can have Kanye West keep his mouth shut until his next album is released in the summer of 2014? Not likely, but West’s next album will be produced by Rick Rubin.

Kanye turned to Rubin when “Yeezus” was in the final stages of production and Rubin also produced Eminem‘s latest album “MMLP2” and Kanye kinda took a line from Em when talking about why he is using Rubin again when speaking to Billboard and other interviewers lately:

“Rubin is not a producer, he is a reducer.”

Kinda similar to the Rubin produced Em track “Survival” line:

“I’m not a rapper, I’m an adapter.”

Reducer might be right as Yeezus was 10 songs and clocked in at around 40 minutes.-DocFB

Diagnosis: Kanye does know that Rubin is Jewish right? Might want to check yourself in recent interviews Yeezus.  Check Yeezego sometimes….

Also, Kanye comparing himself to Mandela is totally believable. But that didn’t actually happen. That was someone’s joke that went viral. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/07/kanye-west-nelson-mandela_n_4405176.html

(Kinda like the fake tweet where Paris Hilton confused Mandela with MLK.)

Just a quick correction. Rubin didn’t produce Holy Grail. He was in the studio, but Jay Z said that he was simply there as a friend. But Rubin is even IN the video for Holy Grail in the studio, but he had no active part in the creation of it.  It was actually produced by The Dream, J-Roc and Timbaland.
