PRINCE! 3RDEYEGIRL! LONDON! SHEPHERD’S BUSH! TONIGHT! FEB. 9th!

3RDEYEGIRL London Image by LV

PRINCE and 3RDEYEGIRL went on BB6 Radio to announce a show for tonight at Shephard’s Bush (EMPIRE) at 7 P.M. What should you expect at the show? The Unexpected!

Tickets at the door. Show expected to start at 8 P.M.

Ticket price is 10 pounds.

They talked about what kind of band leader Prince is. No setlist right before the show and he changes the setlist during the show as well according to Hannah. I have seen it.

They have memorized over 300 songs to perform according to Ida.

Donna talked about how long they jam. Donna being the last person to join the jam shows that 3RDEYEGIRL did not fully come together til then.

They also asked about the gymnastics of Prince while on stage. All right then.

If a second show gets added, we will let you know!-DocFB

Diagnosis: Expect the UNEXPECTED….#princearmy

I’m from the UK, moved to the States and don’t understand the mentality of the hit and run shows. The only people who get to see them are the fanatics and not the fans that have lives. I used to travel around the UK to watch as many shows as possible. Unfortunately it is not feasable any more, especially when tickets cost hundreds of dollars just for the show.
I wish him all the best with his approach to marketing, but having not seen a concert in a couple of years and not really enjoying the new music I hope that these new fans stick with him as long as we did.

Geewiz people. He just got there. And by the looks of it will be there for a good while. He’s creating buzz for larger shows/venues around the U.K. and possibly beyond.
Before you claim ownership of Prince and his career, take a deep breath and either get on The bus or get off. No need for in need stress and negativity. Peace.

Dude you’re preaching to the converted re his musical prowess! But, of course we’re faithful…..speaking for myself, 3 decades of buying his music and going to the tours etc is pretty bloody faithful! I like other artists to, but I’ve never seen them live and only bought the odd cd…….understand the difference?
Re your 3rdeyegirl shows…..of course I’m missing out……that’s the entire point of my, and a whole load of other fan’s, gripe!!!

OliverDingley Hush Ollie Dingbat. Prince is playing for a tenner in a small London club. There will be 2000 fans having the time of their life tonight. Be glad for them. And the whole… “Where would he be without…etc” Now that is old…We wouldnt be fans if he sucked at making music..he has so many fans because he’s great. Not because we’re so faithfull. btw Ive seen 3 3rdeyegirl shows and you’re really missing out :p

Aaahhhhhh the old “stop being negative” reply, not that old chestnut again!
New young audience…..do you actually life in the real world? Where do u think he’d be without us “die hard” fans eh? Commenting about ownership is so ridiculous it hardly warrants a response…..Jesus, if you’re gonna comment, think about your answers and actually have something to say that’s worth commenting on!

We know he does hit & run style show’s…..my favourite concert of all time, “the Birthday Show” from Detroit in 1986 was a hit and run……so of course we’re aware of them! But just to do them, in London alone is what’s upsetting people over here! Trouble is that American’s think that London is the UK, when it bloody well ain’t! Back in 2007 on the day he announced 21 nights in London, he did a hit and run gig in the evening…..but the difference is, that was 1 lil gig, and the rest of the fans had the chance to get tix etc for 21 nts! Now, so far, all of the gigs have been hnr = pissed off uk fans!!

I think Prince and everyone attending the show tonight are glad your negative ass aint around. Time to get some new young audience instead of die hard fans who talk like they own him. btw why not wait till the UK tour is over. If he plays in your neighbourhood next week your comments will look even more stupid. Get a life or move to London.

Thanks Corey……it needs to be said! Although it’s long winded I’m posting it wherever I can in the hope it’ll get back to him somehow……I’ve spoke to a hell of a lot of disgruntled fans in the past few days, and the love is fast disappearing! My blood is boiling still, especially at today’s further gig ala same style!!

Okay, let’s talk turkey here! Like a lot of die hard Prince fans around the country, I’ve had my eye on the net all this week waiting for tour dates to be announced! I’m now hearing that the pattern of these so called guerrilla gigs is set to continue, ie a few hours notice and buy tickets at the door…..thus making it nigh on impossible for anyone who lives outside of London to see him! Also, these gigs are at low capacity venues making tickets even less available for the masses! The 21 nights in London at the O2 was a 20,000 capacity arena…..you do the maths!! Hence, this is gonna piss a lot of people off…….and he’s got a new album to sell!! Perhaps a marketing rethink could be in order!?
I find myself in unfamiliar territory, let me explain! I’m torn between a rock and a hard place, as oppose to a “rock hard in a funky place”! Haha I, like countless others, have adored Prince for 30 years now, for what he’s given us not only musically, but spiritually, he’s taught us to challenge the status quo and not to follow the leader if you don’t agree with their ideals! There’s no denying that he’s a genius at what he does and we’re all in awe of that and it’s why we’ve come to love him! However…..and yes, here it comes, the big however! There was a time when what I’m about to say and utter these words would’ve been unheard of in my vocabulary, and my friends and family would be horrified and in disbelief at hearing me saying such things, knowing how much I love him! But……Prince man……you’re damn well pissing me off, and a good many other fans, who love you as equally as me, to! We’ve all collectively unconditionally put you where you are today…..yes, I know you’ve worked your arse off and you’re a genius, but we’ve all supported you by buying your music, going to your concerts, subscribing to your websites, and buying your merchandise etc etc! So, for the love of God and everything that’s holy……what’s the deal with these guerrilla gigs, the short notice, ticket at the venue etc……giving anyone who lives outside of London no chance of seeing you! And for those of you reading this and thinking……you can’t say that, it’s Prince, he can do what he wants, when he wants! Let me remind you…..he’s not God, or a God or a deity of any kind…..he’s just a man, albeit a musical legend, but nevertheless a human being, much like the rest of us, who’s always set the example of not adhering to anything and everything if you disagree with it! What I’m saying is, we’re not sheep and shouldn’t merely follow him around “just because”…….have some damn self respect people……I for one am not going to jump in agreement at these gigs, or rather the system of them, as it’s unfair to the people who’ve supported him over a lifetime! Yeah yeah……I know it’s “cool” etc…….but it’s uncool pissing off a country full of fans to, especially when you’ve got a new album to sell! Dude…..the UK ain’t just London!.

The London fans aren’t use to Prince’s hit & run style of playing gigs. Its the suspense & UNEXPECTED, that is driving them crazy! Prince has been doing this in the U.S. for decades…. Speaking of “Unexpected” Why no review of Liz hot new Prince penned single???
