Pink Palms was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Justin Warfield, with additional production by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner. The album was mixed by Michael Patterson (Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G) and mastered by Emily Lazar (HAIM, Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters).

The Bots are Los Angeles brothers and bandmates Mikaiah and Anaiah Lei (17 and 21 years old). Their distinctive sound brings together the veracity of garage/punk while paying homage to the American blues and ballad tradition. The Bots are deeply intertwined in the American music narrative while, at the same time, carving out a wholly new, powerful, uniquely personal storyline.

The band is currently starring in Mitsubishi’s new “Every Mile Matters” TV Commercial. The national spot features their track “All of Them (Wide Awake)” and can be viewed HERE.

2014 saw The Bots conquer the stages at Coachella, Outside Lands, Bonnaroo, Summer Sonic, Afropunk Fest, and Riot Fest, resulting in attention from the likes of Vanity Fair, The Hollywood Reporter, Revolt, Spin, Rolling Stone and a full-length feature in the Los Angeles Times. The band also supported The Dropkick Murphys and Augustines on various dates. This summer, the band’s single “All I Really Want” was premiered by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and featured on NPR Music’s All Songs Considered. Creator/host Bob Boilen called the song “an absolute knockout” and praised their live energy with the recommendation: “You’ve got to see these folks live.”
