Are you feeling it? Hell yeah!, but temps like these are also very unsafe:
The high temperatures warning that was in effect over the weekend has been extended to today, with the thermometer reading expected to be in the triple digits for a third day in a row.
The warning covers mountain areas in L.A. and Ventura counties, with the exception of the Santa Monica Mountains. Temperatures were expected to reach highs between 96 and 106 degrees during the day, with the possibility of some breezes in the afternoon, said Jamie Meier, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
Please keep cool. Use lots of sunscreen and carry lots water with you if you plan to be outdoors. Keep a close watch on your elders and small children. Do not leave your pets in the car, not even for a minute. Heat stroke can be fatal.
