After 8 seasons on the air, “House” has been cancelled by Fox. Hugh Laurie was set to leave the show after this season, hurting its chances for renewal from the start.

The show will have produced 175 episodes when it ends and producer David Shore said “that was 175 more than we expected” in a letter to the media today.

Hugh Laurie was nominated 6 times for an Emmys and won 2 Golden Globes for the role.  The series was nominated 4 times for Outstanding Drama at the Emmys.

I HATE THIS SHOW! I never understood why anyone would enjoy watching a program about a doctor who treats everyone around him, like crap.
