I really hope he has the courage to continue with this tour and setlist without resorting to samplersets or Prince megahits to please a member in the audience.
IMO That wouldn’t be fair to the girl in 3rd Eye.
Let it roll and use the freedom of this small tour to step out of comfortzones and shred the airwaves with different stuff or takes.

Keep up the daring setlist. It’s sparkly. Thanks.

Prince is at his absolute best… Everything I have heard him perform with 3rdEyeGirl is Great!! He also looks Hot and loving his look in these photos. I hope he adds Pink Cashmere to the upcoming set lists. That is such a great song and love the guitar in that one!! Pretty Please, Prince come to Detroit with the Girls. This band is tight!! Love them and U!!

We saw the early show on Tuesday night and knew not to expect a ‘greatest hits’ show. He started with let’s go crazy (which I understood he encored the night before) and moved right in to his new material. I’ve never seen Prince perform live before and didn’t know what to expect but it was fantastic–and I wish I’d gotten tickets to the late show. I don’t understand why the professional reviewers didn’t comment on how great his new material is. Prince is an incredible musician and shouldn’t be negatively reviewed by whether or not he played little red corvette! His encore for the early show was a surprising rendition of ‘let’s go’ by the cars and ‘crimson and clover.’ Like I said–wish I’d seen more.

This was my first time seeing Prince after the stars not aligning a couple of other times. As a guitarist, i thought the shows were great – much heavier and more rock oriented than I expected. For fans of only his pop hits, I could see how it could be a bit much.

I saw both Night 1 shows (after taking advantage of the free late show ticket I got for paying full price for the first show). Although the set lists (except for one encore song) were the same, the second show was the better one for me. Since the songs are stretched out to include so much improv, they were not by-the-books performances but rather were allowed to breathe as the muse struck. This was pure music.

Just hoping we see Prince in scotland again. The new venue called “The Hydro”would be ideal for these kind of shows.I’m glad he’s back after 2 years and i cant wait for uk announcements.I would pay the price for a ticket but im disappointed that prince would charge like this after the price of the 3121 tickets.

Big Dee, you have no idea. These are way better than Austin….where he did not even play his guitar. Are you insane???

Saw all 4 in Vancouver. These shows are off the hook!! Completely amazing! Wicked wicked guitar frenzy all night long. Way better than the aftershows I have seen, never mind the big stadium shows where you have to wait all night to see him shred his guitar for 5 minutes. This was 2 hours of Prince channelling Jimi. Plus small venue. Try to get a wristband for the front of stage section. I got there twice!! So amazing!! Do not miss. If we had 4 more I would see them too.

Why would any artist care about any review? It has nothing to do with his/her job.

I have been reading lots of various comments about this west coast tour and am sick of people complaning about the ticket prices. The wife and I have seen Prince 11 times over the years, and you get what you pay for. The chance to see one of the GREATEST musicians, and preformers in an intimate setting is priceless. So sit back and enjoy the ride. DNA Lounge in 7 days is where I will be. Late show for me!!

The ‘pencil pushers’ viewed the same shows that the ‘hardcore fans’ viewed. I’ll consider every review equally relevant and take them as a whole. If Prince takes the money more seriously than he takes journalists’ reviews, he’s way out of line; he’s even further out of line if he doesn’t care.

I was at both shows on opening nite in Vancouver, they were AMAZING!!! Worth every single penny I spent! The band is tight! It was a phenomenal stripped down performance full of rock, funk, a little grunge and more funk! It was outstanding. I have now seen Prince 11 times live and the second show last night was my favourite of all of them. The girls rocked it, Prince was well Prince. He sang, he danced, he played with the crowd, he was coy, he is a phenomenal musician. By the end of the nite, his guitar was smoking. Stellar performances by a musical genius!!!

Amazing shows! Donna, Hannah, Ida, and Prince-ah rocked the socks off the Vogue. Lights, Camera, Make A Scene . . . Endorphinmachine. I hope some different songs are played for tonight’s sets. I don’t mean the hits either! I still preferred the amazing show at Barnone, December 2011, but he did not sing there . . . he definitely sung last night.
