Kobe Bryant & The Los Angeles Lakers Host Kevin Garnett & The Boston Celtics tomorrow in the first meaningful game of 2008 so far.
The rematch of the NBA Finals, which is the NBA's biggest rivalry, is not being hosted in Boston tomorrow, but in Los Angeles. The NBA I guess going for a more celeb crowd at Staple Center instead of the Fleet Center, which would have Randy Moss, Big Papi, Mark Wahlberg and Curt Shilling.
I understand the logistics but do think since Boston won the championship, it should be held there. With Boston being 27-2, the best 29 game start ever, maybe it gives the Lakers a fair ground, even though Boston proved in the Finals, they can win in L.A. As a basketball fan, and a frustrated Laker fan, who sees his team only play defense when they want, I am worried.
In my mind, if the Lakers lose, I am going to be a stubbern fan and not watch the rest of the season. Why?
Boston is just going bonkers against the rest of the league and with the Lakers just getting toughed out in June n the Dodgers with Manny getting bounced 2nd round and the Dallas Cowboys having more drama than an episode of Dirty, Sexy, Money, I just can't take the heartbreak.
We will report live after the game.-Dr.FB
