According to the annual Harris Poll, it's Clint Eastwood. Wha??? Not Johnny Depp, not Sandra Bullock, not George Clooney - but an elderly screen legend who didn't even appear in a film last year.

Don't get me wrong, I like Clint a lot and as a director, he's great. But who was voting in this poll, AARP members?

Depp did manage to snag second in the poll and Clooney came in at number 6. Even more interesting - Meryl Streep tied with late actor John Wayne for 7th place. Giddyup! Here's the list of favorite movie stars from the poll:

1. Clint Eastwood
2. Johnny Depp
3. Denzel Washington
4. Sandra Bullock
5. Tom Hanks
6. George Clooney
7. John Wayne (tie)
7. Meryl Streep (tie)
9. Morgan Freeman
10. Julia Roberts

The Harris Poll also asks about television personalities; here's the list:

1. Oprah Winfrey
2. Glenn Beck
3. Jay Leno
4. Ellen DeGeneres (tie)
4. Hugh Laurie (tie)
6. Jon Stewart
7. Charlie Sheen
8. Mark Harmon
9. David Letterman
10. Bill O'Reilly

Oprah rules! I'm frightened by Glenn Beck at #2. Charlie Sheen, hmm. He's funny but I wonder if those polled would feel the same after his Christmas Day domestic fireworks...

What do you guys think? Are these your top movie and TV stars? Who's missing? -Dr.FB

Heath Ledger did get nominated for his role as the Joker in the Dark Knight.  Robert Downey Jr. was nominated for Tropic Thunder and Philip Seymour Hoffman for Doubt.

The Dark Knight recieved 8 nominations but only Heath's was a major catagory.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop starring Kevin James is the number 1 movie in America.  Come on, if Beverly Hills Chihuahua hit number 1 months ago, you knew this was.

I guess the only thing shocking is that it is going to pull in $40 million.  Yesh.  Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood comes in at number 2 and Notorious, the movie about rapper Notorious B.I.G. comes in at number 3. Unfortunately, the movie has been getting more press for events happening at the movie, a shooting, and at an after party, 3 stabbings.-Dr.FB

Gran Torino took in $29 million to top the box office over Bride Wars & Marley & Me.

Clint Eastwood said this movie may be his last.  The 79 year old actor last starred in Million Dollar Baby in 2004.  He directed both.

The movie has received great word of mouth and great critical reviews.-Dr.FB
