Bobby Brown Goes Heart To Heart With Ellen About Whitney…And We Believe Him!
Ellen DeGeneres is the best interviewer ever. Seriously. After what has happened to Whitney Houston and his actions, we don't exactly have mad love for Bobby Brown. Yet, after watching Ellen, we feel his loss.
He talks about the flack he received performing the night of Whitney's death. I never fully understood why he did get grief for that. The comments a few days later where he said he is still "Bad ass Bobby Brown" was a little bit more offensive.
"She worked hard. Played hard. Lived hard. Loved hard" Bobby explained to Ellen about Whitney.
This whole reality show that Whitney Houston and even with Bobby's own show leaves a bad taste in our mouths. For one moment though, we felt Bobby's loss. Ellen really does humanize people.-DocFB

Lana Del Rey Dazzles At Cannes
Lana Del Rey arrives at the Cannes Film Festival in a simple yet dazzling black dress. Her smile alone is the only accessory she needs.
The South of France is always a little hot and sensual. Lana made it just a little bit more hot and sensual by being there.
You all remember Lana right? She was the one everyone was talking about after her Saturday Night Live appearance. Ahh. Seems like ages ago now doesn't it?-DocFB

New Nicki Minaj Video Features Chris Brown & Nas Watch “Right By My Side” Now!
Here is the brand spanking new video for "Right By My Side" featuring Chris Brown and Nas. Nas and Brown play Nicki's love interests in the video n we dig the heavenly hot kiss between Minaj and Nas at the end of the music video.
This is the second clip released off of Minaj's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" CD. This one however is a little more sensual than the "Starships" video released a few weeks ago.
What do you think of "Right By My Side" by Minaj featuring Breezy and Nas?-DocFB

Adam Lambert’s “Trespassing” Set To Debut At Number 1?
Adam Lambert released "Trespassing" yesterday and it is set to debut at number 1 next week on the Billboard album charts.
Although the CD is only estimated to sell around 80,000 copies, the lowest amount since last August, which was Adele's "21" btw, we see "Trespassing" having staying power unlike say "MDNA" by Madonna which quickly rose to number 1 but dropped faster than Lebron James trying to take the last shot in a playoff game.
But could Carrie Underwood 's "Blown Away" or Adele's "21" still block Lambert from hitting number 1? It really depends on Lambert's performance on American Idol this week. We think he will blow people away and get people heading to I-Tunes or wherever they still sell CD's nowadays.
What about you? have YOU purchased "Trespassing" yet?-DocFB

FREE Download! “We’re All In This Together” Feat. Lalah Hathaway, Shelby J., Anthony Hamilton, Take 6, & Crazy NED
Here is "We're All In This Together" remix by Lalah Hathaway, Shelby J., Anthony Hamilton, Take 6, & Crazy NED.
NPG member Shelby J. was asked to be on the remix by Miss Hathaway herself. Lalah opened for Prince & The NPG on some "Welcome 2 America" dates last year.
We talked to Shelby J. about the song and she said "The song has a healing power. I can listen to it over and over and it just makes me FEEL GOOD and it reminds me what is IMPORTANT in life and how we are ALL connected on the Earth, therefor we must CARE for each other & Love one another. No matter what color, race, religion or location!!"
"We must stomp out hate, and teach our children to LOVE their fellow man...It is the only way we will have a better future. Because....We're All In This 2gether!!! Ya Dig???"
It is no coincidence that you see some of the stars of the video and others wearing hoodies. This is a big shout out to Treyvon Martin.
There is a huge message in this song and that is why the song is available as a FREE download.
Shelby explains "Good music with a good message is like water...we all need it. You could drill a hole in a boat if you want...but we will ALL sink!"
The video is powerful and directed by Shelby's friend and musical collaborator Butter and co-directed by Trevor Gale.
Shelby J. is currently rocking Australia with PRINCE & The NPG on the Welcome 2 Australia tour and receiving rave reviews. There is MUCH more coming from Shelby J. in 2012 and we are excited about it all. Shelby J. is the truth and and her voice and spirit need to be heard by millions! She is the real deal inside and out.
We are loving the Lalah Hathaway jam with Shelby J., Anthony Hamilton, Take 6, and Crazy NED. We hope you dig it too!

John Mayer Discusses His Return & Why He Now Lives In Montana & Will He Be The New “Bachelor”
John Mayer returned to Ellen 2 years after his last album to promote his latest album that he can't really promote due to his throat battles and surgeries.
John discusses why he now lives in Montana, although we wonder if he gave up his places in Los Angeles and New York for good.
John, rocking the long hair, seems somber and perhaps it is reflected on his new record, which he says is his most honest to date. He talks about the Rolling Stone interview and not really remembering the things he stated. We don't want to get into them either. People change. They evolve. Where they might have been 2 years aog or 2 days ago, may not be where they are now.
Ellen and John also discussed their love affair with "The Bachelor" and why he digs it. Eleln asks is John would ever do the show and although he says no, you really have to wonder.
So, will there be a black bachelor first or will John Mayer be "The Bachelor" before that happens?-DocFB

Old School Jam Of The Moment: “Make It Happen” Mariah Carey
Our Old School Jam Of The Moment Is "Make It Happen" by Mariah Carey. Where are the jams like this today? You would think positivity is a 4 letter word or something. Let's not even get into the fact that each time I type positivity, it says that I spelled it wrong....or that the word does not exist. Not the same problem with the word negativity though. You guys should try it.
We dig Mariah Carey especially her older stuff. "Make It Happen" was one of those songs talking about praying to the Lord and still got major radio play and MTV play, when MTV cared about videos instead of advertising rates.
We hope you enjoy "The Old School Jam Of The Moment" as much as we do.-DocFB

Adam Lambert Talks About Pharrell, Being Gay & His Boyfriend On Chelsea Lately
Adam Lambert talked about his new CD "Trespassing" and hair when he was on "Chelsea Lately" with Chelsea Handler where they talked about him being gay. Surprise, surprise.
The interview took place before President Obama announced he supports gay marriage which may have been why it took "Lately" so long to post the clip.
He talks about being open and out there even before he was on "American Idol" and a little stab at Ryan Seacrest.
He also talked about working with Phrarrell and the tracks they created.
Check out the interview before and the last time he was on Chelsea Lately below.-DocFB

PRINCE & Public Enemy Take Over Down Under!
PRINCE took over The Ivy, a club in Sydney, Australia where he performed into the wee hours of the morning with special guests Flavor Flav of Public Enemy and rocker Seal. You know when it comes to Prince, he is never done, and during the Welcome 2 Australia tour, he is proving it yet again.
Prince then performed in Melbourne and at the second show bringing out Flavor Flav again to rap "911 Is A Joke" and then later on, the leader of Public Enemy, Chuck D.
Chuck D. was tweeting during the show and after taking the stage with Prince that there is no one better in music now or then, than Prince. We couldn't agree more.
At the aftershow and the previous 2 concerts, Prince has performed a slowed down bluesy version of "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" a little bit of "Pheromone" a groove of "Dance Electric" and a long, sweaty, funky version of "Days Of Wild" that left concert goers with their mouths dropped.
It shows that Prince may just have been looking at the songs you were requesting here.
The band gets a 2 day break...well, already one day has passed, til they take over Brisbane and give them a good funkin.-DocFB

Video: The 2012 Funkytown Debate
Ahh, Funk is making its own "comeback" although we know it has never left. From a WWE wrestler calling himself "The Funkasauras" and Clipper basketball player Blake Griffen requesting Funk in his ride, and now, the Funkytown debates being televised on CSPAN...well...not really.
Saturday Night Live had a fun and funky skit this week with Will Ferrell along with Usher wanting to be the mayor of Funkytown. It was a skit that I enjoyed more than "What's Up With That" although we wonder why they had Jay Pharoh be the one to wear the diaper in this skit.
Now, the only thing Saturday Night Live needs to do is bring funk to this generation. What do we mean? You don't need the outlandish outfits to be funky. Funk knows no color, and I will not be rocking an outfit like tasty turkey.
Bottom line, we digged the skit and are looking forward to more. We know that Fred could easily give us a shout-out too. Ahem.-DocFb
