George Michael Talks About Nearly Dying: “Worst Month Of My Life”

George Michael has been released from the hospital after nearly dying from a bad battle of pneumonia. he gave a press conference where he looked very skinny and was very emotional.

George states that they played down the illness and that is surprising because it was being reported he was close to death. So close to death, that a doctor had to speak on his behalf and say that he is improving, which we reported on weeks ago.

"I have to believe that somebody thinks I have some work to still do here" George said. George wants to make up the tour dates he had to cancel and do a special show for the employees at the Austrian hospital that saved his life.

Since the illness, George had no contact with anyone who was not a family or loved one. The avid tweeter has not even sent a tweet since before his illness, November 17th.

I am very glad that George is still alive. That must have been some bug. I hope he gets well soon....and gets some meat on those bones of his as well.

Diagnosis: Thankful this is not his "Last Christmas..."

George Michael has been battling pneumonia in a hospital in Austria and from rumors circulating on Monday that the singer died to that he is battling something else have made the medical staff release a statement about George's health.

The news was also released on George Michael's official website stating:

Further to our previous statement Mr. Michael is being treated here for pneumonia and nothing else.

The latest development in Mr. Michael's case - which has evolved from a severe pneumococcal infection - necessitated intensive care due to its severity and extension. We are happy to announce that Mr. Michael is improving steadily with an impressive regression of pneumonic symptoms and follows a steady rate of improvement as hoped.

There are no other health issues with regards to the patient other than the underlying pneumonic disorder, and no further measures had to be taken.

Mr. Michael is receiving precisely the same treatment as any ordinary patient in Austria would receive at the hospital for this disease.

As we said previously, complete rest and peace and quiet are mandatory.

We wish to make it clear that we are putting this statement out and there will be no further comment.

I'm glad to hear that George is improving.  Since his stay, George has postponed the rest of his concert dates for this year.  He still has not used his twitter account since Mid-November as well.

It is has been reported that his family and loved ones have been present with the 80's pop star during his battle.

We will keep you updated as more information becomes available either through George or the doctors.-DocFB
