06 Jun Sheryl Crow “Not Worried” About Brain Tumor As She Records New Music

Sheryl Crow found out she has a benign brain tumor last November and shared that info yesterday. She also said she is “not worried” about it as she is recording new music.

She did the interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal and talked about why she got checked out;

“I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor. And I was, like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong.’ ”

This came after video of her last month forgetting lyrics on stage that made it’s way around the Internet.

“Oh gosh,”  “I will tell you a funny story. I have a history of forgetting my lyrics.”

“Not only could I not remember the first line (“A Change Would Do You Good” from a performance in the 90’s), I couldn’t remember the first line to any of the verses,” 

“I started laughing so hard! And I looked over at my guitar player, and he’s bent over like he’s gonna just start peeing.”

Sheryl is still pushing on recording a new CD which she hopes to have out by October, although she does not have a title for the CD….or a record deal.

“I probably will sign a record deal, though. I like the opportunity to be on radio.”

Sigh.  Pretty sad you still need a record deal to get played on radio.  That would be a reason to have a brain tumor.

All joking aside, we hope it doesn’t give Sheryl any problems.  Wasn’t her last CD the one with all the soul covers including Justin Timberlake?  Hmm.-DocFB
