Happy New Year! This is our 7,000 post and going into 2013, we see big things happening for the site and one of the greatest artists of all time, PRINCE.
PRINCE sent us something that he wanted to share with the site and you.
PRINCE wants to thank U, the fans, for supporting the NPG over the past year and always.
PRINCE & The NPG is putting U on notice that 2013 is going to be BIG. Stay Tuned….
We want to say thank U to PRINCE for the rehearsal jams he has shared over the year with us to share with U. They were and are amazing and we are nothing but appreciative to be able to share them here first.
We want to thank you the fans for supporting the site and one of a kind artists like PRINCE.

Loved the last CD! It was more satisfying than lotus flower Minneapolis
At my age I love every aspect of prince but what I wanna hear is some of his least explored styles some more melodic evening music like ONA just some real exotic smooth and erotic Prince the stuff to explore the world with.
My Fav CDs are Parade,ONA,Emancipation Disc 2,Lotus Flower disc 1, music that takes your mind on a journey.

At times, he furastrated or disappointed me, but overall I can’t thank him enough 4 the enjoyment and excitement he has delivered me 4 such a long time, almost 30 years.
I’m not quite sure what “BIG” means, but I hope it will be worldwide re-recognition of his great talents and music. Also, Japanese fans R looking 4ward 2 seeing him here again. More than 10 years since his last live here!

Posted at 18:30h, 02 January2013 is gonna be BIG? Hope so. 20Ten want what I had hoped for as I thought it lacked punch and funk. Plus, it wasn’t even available to most people or in stores. Since Prince has been touring so heavily for the past couple years, I know him and his band have a musical tightness that would sound great captured as a whole in studio. Fast, furious, sexy and funky is what I want and think the world would love to hear. What I would prefer NOT to hear is any more albums with Prince playing all the instruments himself. Back in the day, from his first album through 1999, Prince could do no wrong playing it all himself. Once his sounds, arrangements and production choices changed though, (from Batman onward), him doing it all himself want the same in sound and fury. A smooth Jazzy kinda Prince ain’t what I want. I know Prince and the NPG can do it. I wish them the best and a very Happy New Year.

I’m done expecting great things, I used to wait since about ’96 for great things. All its been is grand poopiness. Hey fam, dont get your undies in a knot, if you want to save your pennies and keep going after the carrot, thats your thing, me, I’ve been out for several years, all about WB era baby! And I love it.

I feel sorry for the people who love these artists that don’t have the longetivity Prince does and the committment he has to put out music for the enjoyment of his admirers. I started listening to Prince at 13 years old….42 now and he is still going.
My dad told my mom in 1985 (don’t worry, this music is a phase). He didn’t realize, I would be listening to the same genius for the next 30 years +.
