Hanson, 31, was found dead in his St. Paul, Minnesota apartment on Friday. It’s unclear what caused his death, but he may have died from an accidental fall. Jeff slowly rose to fame with the help of independent record label, “Kill Rock Stars”. He released three albums under the independent label, most current, “Madam Owl”.
“Jeff Hanson was an amazing artist, a riotously funny person, and a good friend,” the label said in a statement posted on their Web site. “Everyone at Kill Rock Stars feels that we were privileged to put out his records. We will miss him tremendously.
