Shahrukh Khan, one of the top Bollywood stars, was detained at U.S. Airport this weekend because it says his name showed up on an alert.

Ironically enough, Khan is here to promote a movie called "My Name Is Khan", which is about racial profiling against Muslims since September 11th, 2001. Ouch.  The detainment lasted about an hour. Fans of the actor are extremely upset over the incident and are planning to the protest in India near the Parliament in New Delhi.

In India, it is being reported that he feels angry and humiliated while here in the U.S. he is saying" I think it’s a procedure that needs to be followed, but an unfortunate procedure.”

Unfortunate to say the least especially with what movie he was promoting. What do you guys think?-Dr.FB

  1. nice blog post about this subject. this makes me ask a question though, so i dont really understand the relation of this topic and your entire website. it just doesnt go together. But nontheless i found it very helpful. Cheers, Rizwan

  2. I do feel bad he got detained, Mr. Khan deserves an apology about the detainment and the lost luggage. After 9-11 homeland security can not take any risks. Has everyone forgotten that we are still at war? Unfortunately, there will be inconveniences, even for celebrities and diplomats. I am sure everyone would rather have an inconvenience than have a plane blown up.

  3. I think the Indians should respect other countries laws & proceedures. When in Rome….
