Benjamin Button leads with 13 nominations with a best actor nod for Brad Pitt.  Clint Eastwood was not nominated as well, so the lead right now to win the Oscar would be Mickey Rourke for the Wrestler.

Heath Ledger did get nominated for his role as the Joker in the Dark Knight.  Robert Downey Jr. was nominated for Tropic Thunder and Philip Seymour Hoffman for Doubt.

The Dark Knight recieved 8 nominations but only Heath's was a major catagory.

The Oscars will take place on Feb. 22nd and be hosed by Hugh Jackman.

Jennifer Aniston's new movie "Marley & Me" beat Brad Pitt's "Benjamin Button" at the box office.  Who saw this coming?

Even though it seems Owen Wilson did not promote the movie a lot and Jen did, talking about John Meyer more than the movie at times, perhaps it was Brad Pitt who actually helped Jen win.  How so?

The story that won't die for years now; The Jolie-Pitt-Aniston love triangle.  Brad and Angelina were able to go unscathed for the most part the past few years.  But Brad could not let it go, perhaps because Angelina still loves burning Jen over the coals in every damn interview. So what did Brad do and possibly was told to do?  He admitted 2 weeks ago he did indeed hook up and fall in love with Angelina on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" while still married to Jennifer Aniston.

It is what everyone knew, but actually saying it straight out is doing more damage than he could have thought.  Marley & Me's reviews are mediocre at best.  Button's reviews were extremely favorable and saying he will get many nominations.  Months ago, this match up was seen as laughable.  But the court of public opinion has changed all that.  There is now a huge amount of sympathy for Jen years after what happened.

Who knows how long this will last but right now, Brad Pitt is the loser in box office gold and with movie fans.-Dr.FB
