OK, we need to end the NBA lockout...NOW! Marc Cuban covering "Purple Rain" by Prince is making us beg for the owners and players to reach an agreement.
The owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and hopefully future owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers Marc Cuban hit a local bar last night and instead of us giving us a mouthful of purple badness....and I mean badness in the bad sense.
At 2:17 he makes me shake my head. At 2:34 his friend hits notes that made dogs cover their ears in a 50 mile radius.
Kobe. Kevin. Mr. Stern. Mr. Cuban. Please end the lockout now. My ears cannot take anymore. Please. I rather hear Prince gloating over a Kevin Garnett dunk over Kobe Bryant then hear any other NBA player or owner cover him.
Having to hear Marc Cuban say "Come on, get nast!?" is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
Don't get me wrong Marc. I still want you to buy the Dodgers, but please, put the microphone down.-DocFB
Diagnosis: We get this but not Dave Grohl and Prince jamming? Seriously?
Bruno Mars along with Janelle Monae sold out the Gibson Amphitheatre Sunday and Tuesday along with opening act Mayer Hawthorne.
When I first heard of the show, I couldn't believe Janelle was opening and was worried Bruno would be over-shadowed, as some early reviews were saying. I am proud to say, they were wrong.
Bruno did a rousing 90 minute set that opened with a new song and then stuck to material from his last CD "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" along with a cover or 2.
Bruno was very playful with the crowd during recent hits "Lazy Song" and "Grenade" talking about getting his heart broken was the inspiration for the song. The aforementioned "Lazy Song" was anything but, with a back and forth with a band member and the audience.
He also sang "billionaire" substituting "fricking" instead of using the other "F" word.
Bruno brought the house down with "Nothing On You" and "Just The Way You Are" before coming out for a loud encore.
Bruno went from playing the Temple Bar in L.A. years ago to headlining his own tour. We can only hope his success continues and we are able to see him again very soon.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Mars Is An Act Seeing On Earth
We debuted this back in May but it has been gaining heat each week so I felt the need to post this again.
Here is "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars.
What do you think of the song now?-Dr.FB
Here is the cover of Travie McCoy's upcoming CD Lazarus, which features "Billionaire" the debut single.
Travie had a hit with Gym Class Heroes "Girlfriend" song and is more famous for being Katy Perry's boyfriend before she hooked up with Russell Brand.
He gives shoutouts to Oprah and what he would do as a "billionaire" and even throws a diss to Katy Perry as he lets you know he is single without the ho-ho. Ouch!
Check out "Billionaire" and let us know if you are going to funk it or dunk it.-Dr.FB
