…And The PRINCE Glastonbury Rumors Start Again…

Prince Photo: Funk * U

Here we are in 2014 and just like in 2013 and 2012 and 2011 and (You see a pattern here?) there are rumors starting up of PRINCE headlining the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom.

Every year they do this and every year Prince doesn't perform.

is advertising Prince every year to perform even legal? Is it fair that Prince is used to sell tickets or promote Glastonbury? The festival is sold out so why do they need to do that?

What Do U think?????-DocFB

Another year, another PRINCE is headlining the Glastonbury Festival Story. Well....I'm hear to tell U.....and I'm sorry if some of you were fooled but...it is NOT happening.

All the rumors you heard on Twitter, all the articles you read online, that person on Facebook who says he knows the guy who knows the guy who puts new rocks in at Paisley Park every year and says it is happening, it is not.

When we have anything official to report or anything cool, we will let U know. If U dig rumors and being misled, by all means, keep feeding the gorillas at the zoo.

Make sure to tune in tomorrow for the PRINCE Spreecast for the latest news & more.

Just to be clear:

PRINCE is NOT headlining Glastonbury.

PRINCE is NOT playing Glastonbury.

Diagnosis: Also, PRINCE is NOT appearing in Doonesbury.

Glastonbury fans expecting U2 to play the festival on June 25th are going to be disappointed as they had to cancel as Bono is recovering from emergency back surgery last week.

"I'm heartbroken,"said Bono in a statement. "We really wanted to be there to do something really special - we even wrote a song especially for the festival."

Also, the U.S. tour that was set to kick off this summer will now be delayed and 16 shows will be pushed back til 2011.

This tour is set to be one of the most expensive tours ever and this push back is going to hurt U2 and Live Nation's bottom line.

Bono has been released from the hospital but has to do 8 weeks of rehab, which is why the performances were cancelled.

Lenny Kravitz was supposed to open some of those shows for U2 and we tried to reach Lenny's camp for comment but were unavailable at this time.-Dr.FB
