Reality Show Contestant Convicted Of Murder; Could Get 50 Years

Jamal Rashead Trulove, aka "Milliown" | BuddyTV

SFWeekly reports that former reality show TV contestant Jamal Rashead Trulove, aka “Milliown” of the VH1 reality show I Love New York 2, was found guilty of first-degree murder in San Francisco Superior Court this afternoon.

Trulove appeared on the show in 2007, where he was kicked off during the first episode after fighting with another contestant.

Trulove was on trial for the murder of Sea Kuka, who was shot dead at a public housing project in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood. Kuka was reportedly chasing Trulove’s brother through the projects when he ran into Trulove, knocking him down. Trulove then allegedly got up and shot Kuka in the back, and then in the head multiple times.

Trulove also faced one charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Following four days of deliberations, the jury found Trulove guilty on both counts -- as well as a firearm enhancement to the murder charge.

Trulove faces a minimum sentence of 50 years in prison. He will return to court for sentencing on March 19. -Dr.FB

Former reality show TV contestant Jamal Rashead Trulove, aka "Milliown" of the VH1 reality show "I Love New York 2," goes on trial this week, accused of murder.

Trulove is on trial for the murder of Sea Kuka, who was shot dead at a public housing project in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley neighborhood. Kuka was reportedly chasing Trulove's brother through the projects when he ran into Trulove, knocking him down, district attorney's office spokesman Brian Buckelew said. Buckelew said Trulove then allegedly got up and shot Kuka in the back, and then in the head multiple times.

Trulove was eventually arrested in October 2008 in Seaside in Monterey County on a $5 million murder warrant.

"I Love New York 2" aired between October and December 2007. Trulove was kicked off the program at the end of the first episode after he argued with another contestant. According to prosecutors, Trulove committed the murder just three weeks after the show finished filming in July of '07.
