April 4th, 2009 is a date we won't be forgetting anytime soon.

David Lynch hosted the "Change Begins Within" benefit show at the Radio City Music in New York to promote children being taught meditation in schools for relaxation and creativity.

While the premise of the benefit sounds wacky, the believers in the organization that turned up to show their support included: Eddie Vedder (From Pearl Jam), Sheryl Crow, Moby, Bettye Levette, Paul Horn, Donovan, Mike Love (From The Beach Boys), Jerry Seinfeld, Ben Harper, Howard Stern, Laura Dern, David Lynch, and the first public performance of Paul McCartney & Ringo Star since the passing of George Harrison.

The 6,000 seat venue gave a thunderous applause for a set that included "Yellow Submarine", "Blackbird", "With A Little Help From My Friends", "Drive My Car", "Jet", "Band On The Run", "Let It Be", "Lady Madonna" and "I Saw Her Standing There".

Wow!  Have to Thank GED for this report and photos!  What an amazing night.-Dr.FB

Sir Paul McCartney told BBC Radio that a 14 minute funky unreleased track from The Beatles does exist.  Not only that, but he wants to release it!

The song, entitled "Carnival Of Light" was recorded in 1967 for an electronic music festival.

Sir Paul said Ringo Starr and John Lennon's and George Harrison's estates would have to agree to a release.

The audio of Sir Paul talking about it is here.

The band declined to put it on their anthology in the 90's.  Will things be different this time?-Dr.FB
