It is with sadness and shock that we have learned that legend Don Cornelius, former host of “Soul Train” has been found dead. His death is being ruled a suicide.

He was found dead about 2 hours ago, 4 a.m. pacific time in his home in the San Fernando Valley of Sherman Oaks, California.

He died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head.  He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cornelius was 75 years old.

“Soul train” debuted on the air in 1971 and ran until 2006.

We are stunned by the news of Cornelius’s passing…….-DocFB

“To the person called “Champaigne” It’s African American History Month not negro history month. ASS!!!!”

It’s stuff like this that adds to people’s stress of not wanting to live.
Is it really NECESSARY lash out at someone like that because of a misnomer?
Where is The LOVE & PEACE for another soul???

BTW, FYI before there was “African American History Month” there was “Black History Month” and before that “Negro History Week”.
Know the History and know Love and Compassion in correction.
    Peace

My heart dropped in my chest today,
The sadness of a mans soul gone away,
I can only pray for his grace with God,
Whereas, his faith leaped within a knod,
He must have forgotten the love from above,
But now he resides in heaven’s love.

    For U…

R.I.P. Mr. Cornelius … who along with my father introduced me to Soul Music. I remember growing up in Chicago on the South Side tuning into Soul Train and watching some great acts and future Soul Legends.

I am in shock right now. I cannot believe Don Cornelius is dead. Suicide. Don introduced me to funk and soul. It was through him I first saw Chaka Khan, The Time, James Brown, and introduced me to rap with Kool Moe D and Run D.M.C. I saw colors on my TV screen that would not have been given the chance if not for Don. Thank you so much Don. I hope you are finally at peace……

He was sooo cool–so sorry to hear of his death, sadder still that it is thought to be a suicide.

Say it ain’t so, he’s been struggling all this time with his illness, whatever it was …. So on the 1st day of Black History month, he decides enough is enough, but in a selfish way, God Bless his family!!!

I can’t believe this happened on the 1st day of Negro History Month and he committed suicide due to a gun shot wound to the the head. I’m not beleiving it.
