Sad to hear this today. Most aren’t aware that she was an evangelist & ministerial servant of Christ in her latter 25 years or so. I recall her visiting my church in Houston, Tx in the early 2000s. She shared her faith, testimony, and zeal for God and she strove to bring people into the kingdom of God. It’s unfortunate that many only remember the erotic displays and sexual explicitness of her younger years but truly she was not defined by this at all but for a mere short season. May God continue to bless the memory of her work for the kingdom of God and those lives she touched in doing so.

No more pain, only joy in the presence of her Savior, Christ Jesus! Denise will be greatly missed!

I remember having such a crush on her thru out the 80’s
I never understood why she turned down or backed out of Purple Rain the movie.
I would love to see the footage of the unreleased movie The Second Coming. I always wished I saw the Triple Threat Tour in ’83. When she posed for Playboy in ’88, I remember not being old enuff to buy a copy so I paid an older friend to buy one for me. I later destroyed the copy after several physical altercations with my pubescent explorations I must say. The Drive Me Wild video will always be my favorite. Loved the Vanity 6 album. RIP Denise

Uh, the band’s name was Vanity6, at least that is what Mr. Christian said.
