INXS Calls It Quits….15 Years After Michael Hutchence Dies

So I guess that whole let's replace Michael Hutchence with someone else on a reality show finally did not work out, did it? Surprised it took this long. Yes, the Australian rock group INXS has called it quits. It only took 15 years after Michael died for it to happen.

"It is time to step away" "We understand that this must come as a blow to everybody, but all things must eventually come to an end," founding members Tim, Andrew and Jon Farriss, Kirk Pengilly and Garry Beers said in a statement. "We have been performing as a band for 35 years, it's time to step away from the touring arena. Our music will of course live on and we will always be a part of that. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the friends and family that have supported us throughout our extensive career. Our lives have been enriched by having you all as a part of the journey."

The band made the announcement in concert where they ended a tour with Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas of that group joined them for the final song and they announced it was the band's final show.

The band announced in October that they were going to be working on a new album. Something must have happened between then and now.

Diagnosis: I Need You Tonight & Mediate" Still Rock...

The Real #1 MTV Video For The 1980’s Is…..

The number #1 video from MTV's 1980's not "Thriller" by Michael Jackson but the Australian act Inxs "With I Need You Tonight" from the late 80's.

The video was chosen by ones who won best video.  Since MTV did not have an awards show when "Thriller" was released, it was not eligible.

So, because of that, we are able to feature and highlight other videos.

We also included "Mediate" with "I Need You Tonight" because we really like the video as well.

Check out "I Need You Tonight" by Inxs and let us know what you think.-Dr.FB
