Also, don't forget, we are hooking you up with an exclusive remix of "Release Me" and I chance to win a pair of those hot White Beat Headphones by Dr. Dre and Lady Gaga.

Video~ Drfunkenberry Interviews Agnes

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of interviewing Swedish sensation Agnes and it was great. She was charming, smart, and obviously beautiful.

We talked about her winning Sweden Idol and now being out of the contract, the freedom she now has and if she feels it along with other interesting topics on this star who is hoping to break through in America...and most likely will.

It was an enjoyable interview and I hope you all enjoy it as well.-Dr.FB

The Swedish singer will be doing an interview with Dr.Funkenberry this Friday in Los Angeles before returning to her native Sweden.

For the time being, enjoy the Nevins remix of "Release Me" which we think is rather hot.-Dr.FB

Forget ABBA and Ace of Base - Sweden has a new music export that is making waves overseas and now here in the US. Agnes Carlsson, or just Agnes, talked with us while in Sweden where she'll be taking the stage on Sweden's Pop Idol tonight. In 2005, at just 17 years old, Agnes was a wildcard winner of the Swedish American Idol and since then, has been dancing and singing her way to fame in her home country and Europe.

Her first US single, "Release Me" is out now in advance of her new album, "Dance Love Pop". During our interview, she talked about her rise to fame, her lovely fans, performing in front of 200,000 in Morocco, and what it's like to sing songs in English when it's not your native language. She also shared some funny stories about her hectic life on and off stage, and was gracious enough to sing a little acapella for us.

We'll keep an eye on Agnes and let you know when she'll be appearing here in the US. In the meantime, download her music from iTunes or Amazon, or head over to YouTube to watch her videos.

Special thanks to Agnes for the intercontinental interview! - Dr.FB

Agnes Video Premiere “Release Me”

Here is the video of "Release Me" and the winner of the Sweden version of "American Idol" in 2005.

She has an upcoming CD coming out called "Dance Love Pop" and we are looking forward to it.

We MIGHT be interviewing her later this week from Sweden and we are really looking forward to it.

In 2010, Drfunkenberry.com will be the site to be breaking new artists and although she is not new to people in Sweden, she is relatively unknown in America and we aim to change that.

For now, check out the "Release Me" and let me know what you think.-Dr.FB
