Samsung Announces PRINCE Performing At SXSW
PRINCE was officially announced to be playing SXSW by Samsung today as he will be playing their party in Austin, TX this Saturday night.
Anyone who follows DrFunkenberry on Twitter knew that we were hinting at this for the past couple of days, but Samsung had to make the announcement official.
Samsung chief marketing officer Todd Pendelton talked to Mashable.com and had this to say about PRINCE:
"Having Prince in Austin at his first SXSW show will truly be a one night only experience that our Samsung Galaxy owners and friends will remember for years to come,"
"Prince is a legend and true creative and musical genius who has been innovating and pushing the boundaries of music for over 35 years."
"Prince’s live shows are always phenomenal and I’m sure we’ll be in for some fun surprises on Saturday night."
This is a big year for PRINCE where he has appeared on the Grammys, on the cover of the new version of Billboard magazine, and will be receiving the Icon Award at the Billboard Awards May 19th. He will also be performing 3 nights at the Montreux Jazz Festival and a few other festivals as well.-DocFB

Our favorite female movie actress (suck a bag of ..... Julia Roberts) Sandra Bullock was in Austin, Texas this weekend.
She had her son Louis with her, but there is no need to show you pictures of her son.
Speaking of Julia Roberts, even Tom Hanks wants to work with Sandra Bullock instead!
We are hearing that he is planning on starring with Sandra in "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," which is a 9/11 related movie.
Nothing has been signed but negotiations are in place. We will keep you posted. Right now, enjoy our future wifey in Austin.-Dr.FB

Update: Beastie Boys Among The Long List Of Talent To Perform For Austin City Limits

The Beastie Boys, is only one of the many talented group/artists that will play At The Austin City Limits Festival. 150-Bands will grace the festival and I'm sure this will be too hot to forget. Among the talent that is scheduled to perform is of course, The Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Elvis Costello, Lily Allen, Jack White's new band The Death Weather, and The Dave Matthews Band.
The Three day festival will take place in Zilker Park, in Austin from October 2nd through the 4th.
