Matt Kemp & Rihanna finally were able to see each other as she had a break in her tour and Kemp had an off day after getting swept by the Boston Red Sox over the weekend.

After the dinner in West Hollywood where paps were tipped off they were there, Kemp laid low behind Rihanna as Rihanna walked past the cameras to their awaiting car.

The couple has been going strong for about 6 months and Rihanna has said the Kemp has been a perfect gentleman.  Nothing against Kemp but after Chris Brown though, doesn't anyone look like a gentleman?  Gotta love when the bar is set low.-Dr.FB

Sports Boxers N Briefs: Cardinals on Holliday

Yesterday, the Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday chose a bad time to take a holiday as he misplayed what would have been the final out of the game and tie up the series 1-1. Instead, the ball hit him in his biscuits. I have seen it a million times in the playoffs; these things always end up biting you in your bootay. The Dodgers tied it up and then seconds after that won it in dramatic fashion to be up 2-0. My advice to the Dodgers; don't count on this in St. Louis. From the start, put your foot on their throat from the start or else St. Luis will win.

The Angels took it to the Red Sex winning in a 5-0 game that sometimes seemed like it was 10-0, to go up 1-0. The Rockies pulled even with Phillies at one game apiece and is the first road team in the playoffs to win on the road.-Dr.FB

Sports Boxers n Briefs Baseball Playoff Edition

All of the home teams won in the first day of baseball playoffs. The Phillies, Yankees, and surprise surprise, the Dodgers beat the Cardinals, who are favored to win.  We had to hear how Carpenter was undefeated against the Dodgers. Now, we can hear how he is undefeated against the Dodgers....in the regular season only......

The Angels take on the Boston Red Sox and hoping history is not on their side. Historically, The Red Sox own the Angels in the playoffs. The Angels have an angel on their side this year.

In NFL news, Michael Crabtree signed with the San Francisco 49ers. The deal is for 6 years and this is an update from yesterday.......

So, who you got in the playoffs round 1?-Dr.FB

Tom Brady had a 2nd surgery on his knee which he injured in the first game of the season where he injured his ACL and MCL.  The reason the 2nd surgery was needed was to clear out an infection....The Tony Romo-less Cowboys got spanked by the St Louis Rams as Romo was not able to play with his broken pinkie.  As we stated last week, the Cowboys season is ova!  Well, we knew that it would be over before the season started.  That's my team, but it's truth.....Richard Collier, the Jacksonville Jaguar player who was shot last month 16 times and had to have his leg amputated may be breathing a little easier tonight.  The person who shot him may have been arrested Saturday Night.....The Boston Red Sox came back from 3 games to 1 down to lose it in game 7.  The Rays will take on The Philly's of Game 1 of the ho-hum World Series this week.  The Dodgers with Manny went as far as the Sox did without Manny.....

The Dodgers won thier 2nd playoff game in 20 years, knocking off the Chicago Cubs.  7-2 was the final score I believe and all the Dodger runs came off of home run smacks including a grand slam by James Loney.

The Dodgers are the bad guys in the situation.  Why are we the bad guys?  We haven't won a world series in 20 years.  We haven't won a playoff game in 20 years.  Right now a guy in Chicago is saying 20 years ain't jack docfb!

The Cubbies have not won a a World Series in 100 years!  Yup.  100 years.  Yes, they have won playoff series but a 100 years is a 100 years.

Let me say this straight up; If the Cubs were not playing the Dodgers, I would be rooting for them.  I want to see them win one in my lifetime.

The reason I don't see it happening at least right now?  The Cubs fans, the Cubs players and the Cubs coaches.  They had that look on thier faces that they believe the curse of the billy goat and Steve Bartman.   They believe that ish.

Now, they are facing the person who ended the curse of the Bambino, Manny Ramirez, who now for everyone may just have the curse to end all curses; the Curse of the Mambino!-Dr.FB

The Yankees Miss The Playoffs! The Yankees Miss The Playoffs!

A New Era Officially Begins 2009 Photo: MLB.com

me Sunday night, it was quite interesting that Joe Torre was not mentioned.  You know, the Joe Torre that won them 4 World Series Championships in 6 appearances in his role as manager.  You know, the Joe Torre that made sure they made the playoffs for the past 14 seasons. You know, the Joe Torre where they got off to horrible starts and still guided them to the playoffs?  You know, the Joe Torre who is now managing the Dodgers into the playoffs after you wanted him to take a pay cut?  Yea, that Joe Torre.

When Joe was manager, expections of anything less than a world series were called a failure.  Now, without him, with the same team in place, you could not get to the playoffs.  Pathetic.

The Yankees are one of the most storied franchises in sports of all time but the way that Joe was handled at the end of last season and his omission on Sunday was uncalled for.  Even Red Sox fans are surprised.  I bet they are sure glad that the Red Sox were the ones that eliminated you from playoff contention.

Next year, the real new era of the Yankees begin.  Let’s see if you are playing baseball in October at your new ballpark.-Dr.FB
