Like most people who are not wrestling fans, you have to wonder if what happened after a WWE show with WWE champ CM Punk was real or scripted. The video and photos appear to show this as real. Maybe.
After a match with WWE owner Vince McMahon where fellow wrestlers Ryback and John Cena beat on Punk, the champ ran into the crowd where after Vince challenged Punk to face Ryback or Cena in the next pay-per-view "Hell In A Cell". After that, a fan slaps Punks arm and then Punk turns around and backhands a fan in the face and then pushes him face first away from him. It was not the same fan that hit him however.
I thought the guy was totally set up but a photo of the victim and a reporter from Sacramento's own Channel 13 news interviewed the fan before police questioned him regarding the event.
A Laker fan in Sacramento? Wowsa. BTW, thanks to Rico from Fresno, California for contacting us about this story and for PWInsider.com as well.
Punk has made a habit of picking fights with fans over the years. It has got him into trouble before as a year ago while the WWE was doing a world tour, he called a fan a gay slur, which you can see in the video below.
So far, WWE has yet to comment on the altercation. Punk has not tweeted an apology like he did after the gay slur. So was it real or scripted? Tune in as Funkenberry gets RAW. Wait....I didn't mean for it to sound like that....-DocFB
UPDATE: It was real and WWE and CM Punk have since apologized for it staying security was not around Punk when they should have been.
Cm Punk responded to Chris Brown tweet "#NotnoPunk" by simply replying "#aintnowomanbeater" as the WWE is finally covering the controversy days after us and other media outlets covered it.
Brown tweeted that WWE needs ratings and that's why CM Punk is going after him. WWE did not mention the Brown/Punk war until Tuesday, missing out mentioning it on its flagship show Raw on Monday Night which does better ratings wise on USA then its Smackdown show on the Syfy network.
Brown said he that last night will be the last time he mentions Punk at all stating it is too time consuming for someone who has his own issues to deal with.
According to people on our Facebook Fan Page, this is all a set up by Vince McMahon, owner of the WWE for a Wrestlemania match between the two. Never mind the fact that they are already promoting Punk versus Chris Jericho for his title already.
For some reason, I believe this was just Punk being Punk and it is favoring the WWE.
I think Brown is too much of a wuss to fight Punk so I don't believe it is an angle by the WWE. If it is, or becomes one, I would LOVE to team with Punk against Brown and the other celebrity blogger...Perez what's his name. "Straight Edge" tag team.
So, what do you think? Are we getting suckered in by an angle or is this real beef?-DocFB
CM Punk, WWE Champion, responded in a video to Chris Brown's claim of Punk doing steroids and having body parts not work. Punk claims he has been clean and that Brown does not respect women.
In the 2 minute video, Punk first let's it be known that he is "straight edge" and does not touch any drugs. He then went on about Chris Brown not being a real man as women should be respected and held higher than Brown holds them. Punk said the punishment he got for what he did to Rihanna did not fit the crime, speaking of his probation and picking up trash.
Punk then challenges Brown to a charity wrestling match so he can choke Brown out. He says that he is a realist and Brown is not enough of a man to accept the challenge. He feels that someone someday will give him what he deserves.
Brown responded on Twitter saying he misses the days of real wrestlers like "Bret "The Hitman" Hart", Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Koko B. Ware" and said he doesn;t even know who Punk is.
He started a hashtag of #notnopunk and even had rappers Kreyshawn and Wale name other wrestlers that were @notnopunk and had it was trending on Twitter world-wide to where Brown said he was done. He then added we will be releasing not no Punk shirts soon via his website.
We wonder how far this feud will go because it won't go in a wrestling ring, that's for sure. Will Punk keep responding or will he just let the video be the last thing he says about it?-DocFB
WWE champion CM Punk walked out of the "Elimination Chamber" retaining his title and already set his sights on who he wants at Wrestlemania: Chris Brown. Yes, THAT Chris Brown.
