Boyd Tinsley Of Dave Matthews Band Talks New Movie, DMB T-Shirts, & Upcoming Tour

Boyd Tinsley of Dave Matthews Band stopped by our friends at Good Day L.A. to talk about his new movie "Faces In The Mirror", DMB tour dates, and the DMB t-shirt line.
The DMB t-shirts are very cool and look to be made with VERY good material. The t-shirts were ones that were sold at their concerts and some new ones made specific for the new line, including lyrics from some of the band's most popular songs.
Tinsley also talks that he really wanted to play guitar over the violin when he first started out.
The t-shirts are in the mid $30 range and the hoodies in the $70 dollar range.
The t-shirts will be coming to Bloomingdale's and Fred Segal stores soon.-DocFB

Update: Beastie Boys Among The Long List Of Talent To Perform For Austin City Limits

The Beastie Boys, is only one of the many talented group/artists that will play At The Austin City Limits Festival. 150-Bands will grace the festival and I'm sure this will be too hot to forget. Among the talent that is scheduled to perform is of course, The Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Elvis Costello, Lily Allen, Jack White's new band The Death Weather, and The Dave Matthews Band.
The Three day festival will take place in Zilker Park, in Austin from October 2nd through the 4th.

Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band & Beastie Boys Headline Austin City Limits ’09
Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Beastie Boys, Kings of Leon and Sonic Youth will head this year’s Austin City Limits, which is to take place from October 2-4 in Austin’s Zilker Park. Also performing are Arctic Monkeys, The B-52s, The Decemberists, Ghostland Observatory, John Legend, Mos Def, and Thievery Corportation.

Dave Matthews Band Drinking The Big Whiskey
Dave Matthews band announced the title of their new CD dropping later this year and it is an alcoholic's dream.
The CD will be entitled Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King. Um, DMB, WTH?
They are not saying anything more about it and no word on how they came up with the title. Something tells me it sure wasn't done when they were sober.-Dr.FB

U2 & Dave Matthews Set Album Release Dates
U2 will drop a new album on us on March 2nd entitled "No Line On The Horizon". The album was originaly going to be produced by Rick Rubin but ended up being produced by Brian Eno and Danny Lanois.
Dave Matthews Band will release a new album on April 15th which will drop while they are on tour. We posted the released tour dates earlier this week.
Spring 2009 is slated to have other big name artists dropping sets as well. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.-Dr.FB
