So much for the Farewell Tour.  Who am I kidding? I am GLAD he is touring again.

GeorgeMichael.com    just announced GM will be heading to Australia in Feb. 2010.  Here is the official announcement:

It’s confirmed! After months of rumour and speculation, legendary superstar GEORGE MICHAEL has officially announced that he will be performing live in Australia for the first time since 1988!

GEORGE MICHAEL will perform 2 special event stadium shows in Australia in February 2010: the first one in Perth at Members Equity Stadium on Saturday 20 February, before heading to Sydney to perform at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday 26 February.

I am glad he is touring because George got soul and touring keeps him out of trouble! I don’t want to hear about any more hook-ups in the park, any car accidents or any drug arrests.

I am looking forward to his DVD release Live In London in December.  It’s a shame I found out it was playing in movie theatres after it sold out.

13 years of being with someone who hooks up with random men and busted several times over the years for drug abuse will take it’s toll on anyone. That breaking point has come for Kenny Goss, George Michael’s longtime boyfriend.

George always said he had an open relationship but Kenny has always said thati s not true and they had a falling out when George was busted late last year for a place notorious in London for drugs and random hook-ups with other men.

They were supposed to marry in 2006 but with George cheating quite a lot, Kenny could not marry him but they stayed together.

If Kenny was the one trying to keep him on the straight and narrow (no pun intended) and now with him out of George’s life, I seriously worry about the singer’s future.-Dr.FB

UPDATE: George Michael has issued a statement that the couple has NOT split and says the reports of them being broken up are fabrication.

We hope so George. We think Kenny has kept you on the straight and narrow.

Better late than never. George Michael told G last year that he would be releasing a live DVD before Christmas. Well, it did not get released in time for last christmas ( you know, when you gave him your heart) but this year the DVD will be available to give to someone special.

George Michael Live in London DVD is set to be released Dec. 7, according to remembertheeighties.com and we can’t wait.

When George isn’t smoking cannibas or hooking up with random men late night in London, he is a great live performer.

If this DVD does come out this time, I am going to be one happy funky doctor.-Dr.FB

Just wanted to give a big shout out all the faithful Dr.Funkenberry fans and readers out there.

For the umpteenth straight month, we surpassed the last month’s total, each time doing it earlier!

Our biggest story of the month was the Octuplets story with CNN linking to us as one of the top blogs talking about it.

We have come a long way in a super short amount of time.  From a mini-interview with George Michael to an interview with Nikka Costa as well as listed on Word Press’s top 100 blogs to watch out for late last year before we moved, we are very grateful to you, the readers and also the people who provide tips.

Although we still have a bone to pick with George (What happened to that live dvd buddy?) and realizing sometimes stories that come from celebs themselves do never materialize, regardless, we are thankful for the information.

As we grow, so do the haters, but what is funny, is the haters spend more time coming to the site than the people that like it, so actually, in the end, it’s a pretty good win for me.

George needs to unretire from performing because it seems when he is not, he is getting into bathroom trouble or picking up old men.  George!

They are classifing the drugs he had as A & C.  We are learning that it includes pot and crack coccaine!  George!  it was just over 10 years ago when you got busted at that park bathroom.  What the hell?  how did they find it on him?  Was he doing it on the sink or the toilet seat? 

How long til Amy Winehouse is hanging at that bathroom looking for you?  George, GED interviewed you a few months back in New York and you were looking good and healthty.  Why the death wish?
