In the opening moments of the trailer of "Movie 43" you already know it is going to be one of those kind of movies with Terrance Howard stating "You are going to whoop those Caucasians" to his basketball team.
With a cast like Emma Stone, Halle Berry, Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, and Gerard Butler, you would not think it would be that kind of movie, but it is.
Check out the trailer above and share your thoughts.-DocFB
Marion Cotillard was on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon talking about her new movie "Contagion" and the amazing cast.
Matt Damon, Gweneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Laurence Fishburne all star in this blockbuster movie. Cotillard talks about how she would love to work with them...although she is in a movie with them....she wasn't exactly with them. Interesting.
Check out the lovely Marion Cotillard on Fallon.-DocFB
When kids are involved, and maybe infidelity was not involved, perhaps it is best to work on your marriage. That is what Kate Winslet & Sam Mendes are doing. Although Kate filed for divorce earlier this year, she believes in second chances.
Kate and Sam have a home in Gloucestershire, England and are going there over the summer to work on their marriage.
Someone close to the couple had this to say;
“Sam hasn’t any film commitments at the moment so they are going to stay at the house with the children this summer and see if they can reignite their spark.”
“Sam has always been able to walk away from girlfriends before but now there are children involved he wants to see if he can work it out with Kate.”
Hopefully, they can make it work out.-Dr.FB
The 59th Berlinale Film Festival is underway. Below are some of the stars and films that made their way to Berlin this year to take part in Europe’s second biggest and most important film festival after Cannes.
Woody Harrelson was in Berlin for his film The Messenger. Harrelson and co-star Ben Foster play army officers whose duties are to inform the families of soldiers killed in action. Of the experience of working on the film, Harrelson says, "I've been an outspoken peace activist for good reason. But what was missing from my own philosophy was a real understanding of what these soldiers go through. The time we spent with them working on the film left me with profound respect and compassion for these people who are going to Iraq and Afghanistan." The film is in the running at Berlinale for the Golden Bear award.
Adorable Rupert Grint attended the premiere of Cherrybomb at Berlinale. The Harry Potter star temporarily removes his wizard robes (literally--check the film still below with co-star Kimberley Nixon) to play the part of a rebellious Belfast teen in the gritty drama about a summer of hard-partying and juvenile delinquency that goes fatally awry . Cherrybomb also stars Robert Sheehan and James Nesbitt.
Speaking of Potter, Sally Potter (no relation) wrote and directed Rage, a murder mystery and dark comedy set in the New York fashion world. Leggy Lily Cole, who plays a model named Lettuce Leaf, was at the festival for the premiere.
Rage also stars Judi Dench and Jude Law. Law, almost unrecognizable in the Rage still below, plays a cross-dressing model named Minx.
Leonardo DiCaprio received the International Green Film Award during the Cinema for Peace gala at the festival for his film The 11th Hour.
DiCaprio co-wrote with Nadia Conners, co-produced and narrated the documentary about the environmental crisis facing the planet and the steps necessary to halt and reverse the destructive effects of global warming, pollution, and other global dangers.
Ralph Fiennes and Oscar-contender Kate Winslet (looking gorgeous as always) were on hand at Berlinale for a screening of their critically-acclaimed film The Reader.
Her role as a German woman with a dark past in Nazi Germany has earned Winslet her sixth Academy Award nomination.
Kate Winslet, one of the Dr's favorite as she battled her issues with her weight, gained 2 wins on Sunday, proving we love Kate the way she is.
Kate won best actress for “Revolutionary Road” which had Leo in it and won best supporting for "The Reader".
Congrats to Kate for being so great and also humble all at once.-Dr.FB
As if I needed any more evidence of how amazing Kate is, I found some. Ha. Hoping that the fur is fake but those stocking n heels are fierce. Ahem. Scuse me. (Your a doctor. Be more professional.)
Um...so here is Kate talking about working with Leonardo DiCaprio again after Titanic:
"Leo and I, you know, are sort of kindred spirits," Winslet says. "We're cut from the same cloth."
(Ok. Doing good with the professional thing. ) So Revolutionary Road is drawing Oscar buzz but so is another project, The Reader. Kate had this to day about the roles:
"How the hell did I get that lucky [to have two compelling roles] in the same 12-month period?," she says. "It's really rare and remarkable, and I don't take that position lightly. It might not happen like that again; I'm well aware of that. You know, the truth is, I'm just going to bloody well make the most of it."
Good job Kate, and look forward to hopefully seeing both films.
Glad to see woman dress like that more than just on Halloween. Ah. Dang. Professionalism just went out the window. Hope you don't blame me and hope that is fake fur.-Dr.FB
Kate Winslet & all her hawtness is on the cover of Vanity Fair. Curvy sexiness.
Kate has had issues with her weight, even saying that she did not want to become famous, because of it.
"I was fat. I didn't know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I'm being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid."
"You always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else," the actress says. "And I still sort of have that. I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, 'I should make more of an effort. I should look like that.'
"But then I think, 'They can't be happy in those heels,'" she says.
Straight up, there is NOTHING wrong with Kate's body at all. I would take a woman who looks like Kate over one of dem skinny girls on 9021-h0. No disrespect but it is sad that someone who is smart and talented and attractive has these issues. Glad she seems to have conquered them.
What makes Kate happy?
"I need to be looked after," she says. "I need someone to say to me, 'Shall I run you a bath?' or 'Let's go to the pub, just us.' I mean, the things that make me happiest in the whole world are going on the occasional picnic, either with my children or with my partner.
I must say, her husband of 5 years, Sam Mendes, is a great and lucky man. Good luck on your Oscar aspirations, Kate. Love ya, woman.-Dr.FB
