NPG band member and friend of the purple one Andy Allo released the above gem on her Facebook page and Twitter today. From Prince's concert last night.. Thanks, Andy - always great to hear Prince in such great form.
The video above was posted on Andy Allo's youtube account and then taken down by an NPG Records Copyright claim. But...it was given to her, right? He wants you to hear it in all it's sound board quality greatness, right? So we are stepping in and hoping we found a loophole for it to stay up.
What do you guys think? Will Prince "slow down" enough to find "a love that's gonna last"?
Also, Andy and Prince also teamed up in Amsterdam earlier this week to perform "Love Is A Losing Game" by Amy Winehouse below.
Beautiful version with Prince on guitar, Andy on vocals. "Rest In Peace Amy" - Prince
UPDATE: It Is Now Back Up. Thanks To Andy Allo for sharing with us all.
Diagnosis: Slow Down......
So Prince played to a sold-out crowd last night at the L.A. Forum, part of his 21 nights in L.A. at the legendary venue. He took the fans for a ride musically, and then after, he took himself for a ride.
Prince, having a little bit of fun, hopped on a fixie bike n rode around his one of a kind symbol stage, surprising fans and Forum security.
Prince can still be a jokester. Thanks to Mr.Maxwell77 & Chris G. for sending this in exclusively to us! Check out the video above as fans and security try to catch up to the music icon.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: His Other Ride Is A Little Red Corvette
Prince has listened to fans request (and mine) and has put up some footage from his Montreux performance on his official web site; LotusFlow3r.com and it is pretty funky.
He added the classic "Little Red Corvette" & the rare gem that only the hardcore know "When I Lay My Hands On You" and you can hear his guitar sing.
BTW, his website is members only and it costs $77 bucks to join. Hopefully, a DVD of this release is on it's way. Those that can see it, what do you think?-Dr.FB
UPDATE: I just watched the clips and it is hot like soup! "When I lay Hands On You" is fire and that version of "Little Red Corvette" is the reason every Prince tour needs to be seen and released.
He changes instrumentation's up on each of his tours of certain songs, making them different and making sure just because you saw him perform a song in 1984. doesn't mean it will be the same in 2009.
Straight up, Prince is an American World-Wide treasure and needs to be appreciated every day he is here. Love ya man (and ya know 2 clips will only hold me the fans up for so long.) and keep funking things up for another 30.
Johnny Depp turned 46 earlier this week and had a party with the crew of the latest movie he is filming, "Rum Diary" and also with several fans in Puerto Rico.
There was a cake and gifts of a guitar and a little red corvette that he was driving during the filming of the movie and fell in love with. Johnny was very appreciative of the gifts and took a cake from a fan in the picture above.
Can someone explain to me how Johnny looks so good at 46? Hope I am still looking that good when I hit that age.-Dr.FB
John Mayer opened his acoustic charity show at the Nokia Theatre tonight performing "Little Red Corvette" by the one n only Prince. John is a huge, huge fan.
Nokia Theatre is a great place for an acoustic concert n sounds good streaming soundboard feed and if you go there RIGHT NOW, you can listen to the concert from start to finish, which means you would hear his version of Little Red Corvette!
Johnmayer.com It sounds really great right now.-Dr.FB
