Marc Anthony and Will Smith were in the owners box of the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots last night.
They were letting it known in their own way that they are cool and don't believe the rumors of Marc sleeping with Will's wife Jada Pinkett Smith. They are buds. Bros. Homeboys. Right?-DocFB
Diagnosis: Nothing Like Football To Bring People Together
You wanted the bulls-eye you got the bulls-eye. It was only a preseason game but it lead off Sportscenter. The NFL dream team the Philadelphia Eagles got beat by the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-14 in a game where Michael Vick threw 3 interceptions in the first quarter. It's only preseason though right? Kinda like Allen Iverson n practice.
The Miami Heat of the NFL is showing us something, even if it is preseason. They are showing us there is a pretty good chance they are not going to handle the pressure of being the most hated team in the NFL.
I am going to say it loud and clear; the Eagles are overrated. Take it from a Dallas Cowboys fan who had to hear for the past 3 of 5 years that the Cowboys are going to be Super Bowl favorites only to see that star get smacked off the helmet year in and year out.
The Eagles come off as such douchebags that the Patriots are being ignored and loved, all at the same time. Tom Brady gets the supermodel wife and Ocho Cinco? Michael Vick was already in hot water this week when Vick said he wanted to sign with other teams and not the Eagles, but Goodell lead him to Philly. Sounds fishy. What if they actually win the Super Bowl? Already karma is working against them.
The Green Bay Packers are built to get back into the playoffs and defend their championship. The NFC East where the Eagles are at? It will be the Cowboys coming out in that division. They have a new head coach in Jason Garrett who has 2 super bowl rings to motivate Romo, Whitten, Austin, Dez, Felix, Choice, Ware, Spears, Ratliff and more.
It was only preseason but if you can't handle a preseason game being the target, how can you handle the regular season? See me in January and let's see if the Eagles are still being talked about in the Super Bowl.-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: Keep Dreaming
We have never known Kim Kardashian to be the cheating kind in her relationships, but "In Touch" magazine is claiming that she is cheating on Kris Humphries with a football player we have never heard of, Bret Lockett, who plays for the New England Patriots.
Kim is saying the story is completely false and will sue Lockett and "In Touch" magazine for running the story. Lockett claims Kim was "sexting" him and pursuing him like it was a game to her..as this is what she does.
Kim, who is in London promoting her new fragrance, has yet to be reached for comment and has released anything via Twitter.
Kim's lawyers however, have said quite a lot. They intend to sue and said the allegations "are, at a minimum, damaging, defamatory, and an invasion of her privacy."
Go get them Kim!-Dr.FB
Diagnosis: She's No Cheater
Earlier this morning, New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady was involved in a car accident.
He walked away unhurt and has reported to the Patriots training facility in Foxboro. The "jaws of life" were used to get his passenger out of the car.
Tom was in the right as the light was green for him but not for the van that hit him.
We are happy that Tom is all right. Brady has been in the news recently for contract talks of a 4 year extension with the Patriots for about $60 million dollars. Hope he tips well. Ahem.-Dr.FB
Jennifer Lopez & hubby Marc Anthony attended the Miami Dolphins game against the New England Patriots as the Dolphins came from behind to stun the Patriots and win the game.
Also there were Venus and Serena Willams as well as Emilio Estefan, who own the team as well with J. Lo & Marc.
Other celebs in attendance were Aerosmith's Joe Perry, Larry King and T-Pain.
Miami has been the place to see football games and the team is now only a game out of first place with the playoffs looming. Hopefully that does not mean any more craptacular songs by T-Pain about the team.-Dr.FB
Football season is here...finally. I have some thoughts and predictions to share with you and I want to know your favorite team. Mine is the Dallas Cowboys and they are going.....nowhere. Here are some other predictions and things I am looking forward to;
SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW: BON JOVI
Hear. Me. Out. You can knock Bon Jovi all you want but you know they have more hits than an adult film site. They have earned their due and if they are not the Halftime Show this year, it will be highly disappointing. The boys from Jersey baby.
THE MADDEN CURSE LIVES: Troy from the Pittsburgh Steelers is on the cover. He is out 6 weeks and it is a painful injury.
BRETT FAVRE's CONSECUTIVE GAME STREAKS ENDS SOMETIME THIS YEAR: Favre's record will fall as he will get hurt.
DETROIT LIONS WIN FIRST GAME IN WEEK 3: The Lions will beat the Washington Redskins week 3 and upset the Bears in week 4. Just watch.
TOM BRADY WILL BE TOM BRADY: The New England Patriots will be the team they were before Tom left. Speaking of which, when do you win 11 games and miss the playoffs? Wow.
FANTASY FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Aaron Rodgers. You guys are going to laugh now but the guy is going to get you over 30 td's and 5-7 rushing td's. Packers are scary. Super Bowl scary.
MICHAEL VICK WILL START A GAME FOR THE EAGLES: When was the last time McNabb was healthy for 2 years in a row? Just sayin'.
AFC DIVISION WINNERS: New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Diego Chargers, (Wild Card: Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills)
NFC Division Winners: Dallas Cowboys (not really but it's my team!), Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, (Wild Card: Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers)
You won't believe who I have in the Super Bowl but one of the teams will have my fantasy football player of the year on it.
WEEK 1 UPSETS: Carolina over Philly, Jacksonville over Indy, San Francisco over Arizona.
I am doing this for fun, so you guys can give me some hell over it, but a lot of what I say will happen. Peace! Bon Jovi in 2010 baby!-Dr.FB
(Good luck to everyone's team!)
Tom Brady showed off his body and the great weather in California. After he went back inside, it started to rain.
Tom Brady had a season ending injury in the first game of 2008. Tom is looking to get the New England Patriots back on track this year. That and make some serious loving with his new wife Gisele.-Dr.FB
The Patriots were on the way to the first ever undefeated season. Only one thing stood in the way: The New York Football Giants. A team they beat on the last game of the regular season. A cake walk right? Nope.
The last game of the season record-wise and playoff-wise was meaningless to the Giants. They were facing an undefeated team and pride was on the line. Several sports reporters said sit them, it won't matter. What did I say? The Giants, right now at the last game of the season, have no shot of winning the Super Bowl. If they play all the starters and give the Patriots a game, whether they win or lose, may just have that shot. They lost. But, the most important win was a month away.
People around the office were like this is going to be the worst Super Bowl ever. I was like the NFC is like an AFC team. Do not count the Giants out. The only heat on ESPN was the Patriots being the only undefeated team. The Giants beat two 13-3 teams in the playoffs. No spotlight on them. Did the Giants care? Michael Strahan put it simple; "The pressure is all on them. No one is picking us. if they lose, what are they gonna do."
The first 3 quarters were very defensive and close. The Giants defense sacking the hell out of Tom Brady, who seemed hobbled by a leg injury he differed a week before against the San Diego Chargers, but it did not seem to limit his passing ability at all.
The 4th quarter started and then history happened. The Patriots were up. The Giants facing a 3rd down with time running out. The Patriots blitzed, Manning looked sacked, it looked like the game was over. Eli somehow got of the tacklers way, still being chased, thre the ball downfield, looking way high of a receivers head. The receiver however, caught the ball between his hand and helmet, bringing it down without touching the ground.
A couple of plays later, Eli Manning passed a touchdown to Plaxico Burress, wide open in the end zone. I could not believe it. We were all jumping up and down. Then it hit us, Brady and the Patriots get the ball back with a little time on the clock. All that Brady needs. But this time what they needed and wanted, did not happen. The Patriots lost. Eli Manning. Super Bowl MVP? Wow.
Eli Manning went to being called a bum by Giants football fans to never having to pay for a meal or drink in New York City ever again. I attended the first game of the season for the Giants against the Cowboys in Texas Stadium. I told him, the team here is going to the Super Bowl and win it. I meant the Cowboys, but in the end, the Giants proved they were the best team in football. It really is not how you start but how you finish.-Dr.FB
(Honorable mention: Boston Celtics Clobber the Los Angeles Lakers in NBA Finals.)
Both of these reports are coming from TMZ and since they are getting defensive information, I feel it is worth reporting.
First, they reported the story about Tom's knee yesterday earlier this morning, then they got an update advising that Tom is not going to miss the 2009 schedule and actually is ahead of schedule on his recovery. They are saying this story may be a ploy to get Matt Cassell (Tom's replacement during the injury) more money. Indirectly, they called Peter King a BS'er. I know in the past Peter King has been Mr. reliable but sometimes, even the greats get it wrong. Matt Cassell is most likely going to be tagged by the Patriots as a franchise player, which means the league will set his value, not his agent or the NFL. Well, we will find out soon enough.
2nd, a kind of gross update on Tony Romo. It seems that he had some loosw cartilage that Jessica Simpson has now put back in twice for Tony since he fell in the shower after Sunday's game. Sigh. If only the Cowboys were able to be put back in place so easily.-Dr.FB
