Video Premiere: “California” By Tamar Kaprelian
Our friend Tamar Kaprelian is back with a new music video "California" which also the title of hew new 5 track EP.
Tamar's last CD "Sinner Or A Saint" was released via Interscope/Cherrytree a couple of years ago and...a few things happened. Let's just say that Tamar is HAPPY to be an independent artist. All she will say about "Sinner Or A Saint" right now is this;
“Sinner Or A Saint was an album that is real and true to me, both personally and artistically,”
Tamar is now at Columbia University studying political science and creative writing. She also has a new blog out as well.
"California" is a breezy tune with Tamar driving around parts of California and walking in the desert in flats but making sure she rocks the high heels in the bedroom. I like that version of California....you know, the open road and a beautifully talented girl in a swimming pool.

Tamar Kaprelian & La Vie Cover “Pumped Up Kicks”
Its been a while since we have heard from Tamar Kaprelian and now she is covering "Pumped Up Kicks" with La Vie.
The Foster The People song is being covered by a lot of people but Tamar and La Vie strip down the song without any whistling being needed.
You all know I dig this woman's sound and am waiting for her to take it to the next level. She is an undiscovered gem that needs to be doing 3 shows a night until people recognize her talent.

Video: Tamar Kaprelian Performs “Should Have Known Better”
Here is our girl Tamar Kaprelian performing "Should Have Known Better" recorded live at Jack Johnson's Solar Powered Plastic Plant in Los Angeles.
Tamar talked about what the track is about recently and said;
“definitely about someone who did me wrong and led me in the wrong direction," Tamar explains. "Had I not gone through that experience, I wouldn’t have written the record that I wrote.”
I know who it is but Tamar says it is over n done and doesn't really want it out there. Needless to say, she never was our "idol" anyway.
We were able to see Tamar at Hotel Cafe on Monday and it was great. She gets better each time we see her. Now, if she can only find a stage with "freaking hot lights" while she is performing, we would be good. Can someone get her a towel next time? Unfortunately, we were not allowed to videotape her performance.

Tamar Kaprelian Talks New CD Which Is Out Now!!!!
Good to see Tamar doing an update like this!
Tamar Kaprelian's "Sinner Or A Saint" is now out on I-Tunes and in stores as well.
We are also going to be giving away physical copies and a few posters as well.
Make sure though to get the I-Tunes version as it contains an acoustic version of "New Day" that you can't get anywhere else!

Tamar Kaprelian performed at a Cherry Tree Records event on Friday and one of our funkenbabies was there to take these shots.
Also, Tamar promotion showed up at a random place over the weekend. Very interesting.
She performed "Raining In Paradise" at the event.

Tamar Kaprelian’s “New Way” Towards A “New Day”

Tamar Kaprelian was being a chameleon yet again n this time switching her tactics of her unofficial Starbucks Product Placement Tour 2010.
She struck at Starbucks of the U of M, twice at Chicago's O'Hare Airport and on Sunday in Granada Hills, CA where she left a CD instead of the promo post cards she had been leaving.
Also, TK's CD drops on August 24th and here is the official track list for her debut CD "Sinner Or A Saint";
