#FlashbackFriday is kicking into high gear with "Whip It" by Devo, the 1980's New Wave classic.
The song is from 1980 and was Devo's biggest hit, climbing to number 14 on the Billboard's chart. When you think of New Wave, "Whip It" is the first song you think of. One song did all that. Amazing.-DocFB

Drew Barrymore attended the premiere of her directorial debut "Whip It" and it was a star-studded event including Steven Speilberg who directed Drew in E.T. way back in 1982 and co-star Ellen Page, the star of Juno.
The event was held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and so far the word on the street is mum about the movie but we don't think it will be a make or break for Drew but we do wish her success in her film career and directing.-Dr.FB
Looks like Drew is promoting her new roller derby comedy, "Whip It".

With "Push" star Dakota Fanning and Canadian cutie Bronson Pelletier joining the cast and that pesky rumor still swirling about Vanessa Hudgens' possible role in "New Moon," now comes more “Twilight" news.
EW is reporting that Drew Barrymore may be involved in the third film, “Eclipse.” "Involved" meaning she may direct the whole darn movie.

To date, Drew Barrymore has directed one other film, the forthcoming Whip It! starring Ellen Page, and a get-out-the-vote documentary for MTV, Choose or Lose Presents: The Best Place To Start.
I say we give her a shot. I've seen the first Twilight movie. She couldn't do worse.
