TY Dr. for sharing nice to hear Prince is working. twice today I randomly heard Prince singing so sweetly while I was about town. Brought a smile to my face while I was doing thankless chores. A joy also to hear others commenting (around me) what a fabulous musician Prince is!

I am feeling this song. Love u Prince. Thank u 4 sharing your wonderful gift. Love his voice singing n his lower register. How can u not like this remake? 4 those who says his voice sounds horrible need 2 replay this song, relax, and enjoy.
Remember his voice is a powerful instrument that he has complete control over’

Again, thank u Prince and I hope u continue being u

    Peace and b wild

And those defending under “professional singer,” saying, “It’s just a rehearsal.” As a singer you should know that you rehearse the way you would perform it. Otherwise there is no point to rehearsal. Party hard, no practice, and just perform tomorrow. I’d bet you’d sound like shit. Your knowledge is a piece of b.s.

How does anyone else not hear it? Where is your musicality, people?! Well that’s why you guys are fans and not the musicians.
His vocals are horrible. He cannot sing this song in this key. Wrong wrong. It sounds flat. He sounds like he is so sick of singing. Like he’s just doing this because there’s nothing else to do.
I’m so sad, I can cry. I feel so Prince deprived. Prince, won’t you please come back? I beg of you. Tell me what you want, and I’ll do that for you. Just come back!

well, it does seem a bit paradoxical releasing this particular cut to the funk dr and not on the lotus, still there must be some reason…we could endlessly speculate but it’s probably a lot more complicated than we could imagine.

perhaps being home is helping prince to gain some clarity and refocus. the nostalgia of this track would definitely suggest some introspection. sometimes it takes retracing our steps to help us see the big picture and recommit to where we want to go…

love the lower register. the guitar solo – i’m speechless and the “take me with u” teaser…uh, ur killin’ me kid.

makes me want to break out my one night alone box set and get lost in the positive retrospection for a while even tho the real bliss all lies in the future…

Great that Prince can still hit not only vocal notes but guitar licks!

The drums sound is a bit flat, guitar tone fantastic – must be using the 80’s Cloud setup…I hope! Synth needs more body, too miniscule.

Obviously he’s singing it in a lower register but we know he can still hit the falsetto notes if he wanted to.

Great to hear old songs and keeping it a bit closer to how they sound on record!

The great serpent that once guarded the egg of the new world comes full circle into being ourobous. As prince revisits this song the harmony comes up as the captain crunch munching becomes faded into the white noised past. This track is tired, and what the new world needs are new tracks with less monkey noises. But fresh air isn’t allowed in with all the windows and doors on lock down. Sad the choking noises one makes gasping for a last breath when they’ve found themselves hanging by the end of their own rope. Oh sure, clearly an improvement, but it’s been a long time coming and a little too late. However Maybe prince will let the new light shine before the break of Dawn, because the new day begins with or without him. We’ll see it, but the new QuesTion is: “Will Prince come and see?”. I have my doubts.

Sounds great and sexy 2 me. I wonder why Prince chose WYWTMSB and followed it with TMWY. My first thought was he is singing to the fans…prehaps the haters(let’s not 4get the Bria haters also). Part of me wants 2 believe he wants to continue to throw fans off as it relates to his and Bria’s relationship. In all, it’s a double message song cuz Take Me With You follows WYWTMSB and that’s “the key that opens the door to his/her heart”.

Perry,he recorded this song in 1979,that’s 30 years ago.His voice can’t possibly sound the same, but this sounds great to me,and Prince can sing his ass off!
