Fdeluxe Performs “Screams Of Passion/Gaslight”

2 days after Fdeluxe performed at Largo in Los Angeles, they traveled to the bay area to play Yoshi's.

The performed material they recorded as The Family with Prince back in the 80's and new material they have recorded as Fdeluxe recently.

Here is a clip of them performing "Screams Of Passion" and "Gaslight" at Yoshi's.  Thank you to Myles for providing the footage.

They are set to perform in NY shortly.  Check out the footage above and let us know what you think.-DocFB

  1. This is really awesome stuff, sounds fantastic and really hope I’ll be able to see them live. So much fun!

  2. Dr. Funkenberry!! Brotha I was at the 9pm Fdeluxe concert that took place at Oakland Yoshi’s on September 25th, 2011. 2 words…STRAIGHT FIRE! They performed to a small crowd however they played as if it was in front of hundreds. Seeing all of them up there having a great time was awe inspiring and definitely a must see performance. Not only for the purple ppl but for anyone that loves real music by real musicians. Paul “St. Paul”, Susannah, Jellybean & Eric Leeds did a meet & great before the concert and after the concert. They took to time to meet every person that was in line to meet them, fulfilled every autograph request, pictures and took the time to make every person feel special. Lot of love in the room for the band and the band gave it right back!

When I spoke to both “St. Paul” and Susannah I commented I saw them perform back in 2003 at the Family Jamm Concert organized by Sheila E. that took place at the LA Forum. They both said “that is how it all started again to get the band together and now here we are!” I can’t say enough about how awesome it was to see FDeluxe and I hope to see them again really soon. We need to keep the FDeluxe movement going!

To FDeluxe thank you for making history again and all the best! Oh yeah one more thing, if Eric Leeds is reading this “If you were wondering during the 9pm Yoshi’s show who was shouting “ERIC BLOW U’R HORN!” that was me..THE RIGOMAN!
