EMINEM Talks Biggie, Beasties and 2PAC In New Rolling Stone

Eminem RollingStone.com

EMINEM is about to appear on ESPN alongside Brent Musburger. Why does he all of a sudden look spaced out?

I knew we were about to show the 'Berzerk' video, so I was doing what I call the Berzerk face," he says. "The whole song to me feels like vintage Beastie Boys. And you know the 'Pass the Mic' video where Ad-Rock is making that face, kind of not looking the camera? I was doing my own version."

Eminem discusses this in the new issue of Rolling Stone with Eminem on the cover. This is Em's 8th cover of Rolling Stone.

He talks about that this is the happiest he has ever been and that rap saved him although because of that he considers himself to be an idiot savant.

The Godfather of Soul James Brown and 2Pac are on the "Django Unchained" Movie soundtrack with "Unchained (The Payback/Untouchable) a duet that Quentin Tarantino felt had to happen.

"Tupac Shakur's talent extended beyond music to acting and filmmaking. Tupac spoke many times of his admiration for Quentin Tarantino's work. In talking with Quentin about the Django soundtrack, I found out the admiration was mutual as Quentin is a big Tupac fan," said Loma Vista Recordings founder Tom Whalley. "Tupac Shakur and James Brown both have enduring legacies. To have a mix of these two great artists in a Quentin Tarantino film and on the soundtrack is an incredible combination of creativity and makes perfect sense."-Tarantino

The song was mixed by Claudio Cueni, 2Pac's engineer.

The soundtrack for "Django Unchained" is due December 18th. The movie will be in theaters Christmas Day.-DocFB

New Katy Perry “California Gurls” Featuring Snoop Dogg

Katy Perry's new song "Summer Gurls" featuring Snoop Dog has been released and well.....I am sure it is going to sound good in my car and at a club BUT I just can't get over the start which sounds like Kesha's (blech) "Tik Tok"  and it is a safe pop tune.  It is growing on me but hoping for remixes.

I mean New York gets "A New York State Of Mind" with Jay-Z and Alicia Keys and we get "Summer Gurls" with Katy Perry.

I guess the last great songs about Los Angeles is "Under The Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and "California Love" by 2Pac & Dr. Funkenberry Dre.

Here is hoping the video is hot.  What do YOU think of the song?-Dr.FB
