Video: George Clooney Duets With Neil Diamond “Sweet Caroline”
George Clooney was Neil Diamond's singing partner Saturday Night, even if George did not want to be. Diamond sang his classic "Sweet Caroline" for those in attendance at the 6th annual Carousel of Hope Ball in Los Angeles for Diabetic Awareness.
The video above is very cool and could George sing it any cooler? Loving his expressions. Check out the clip above.-DocFB
Diagnosis: All for Diabetic Awareness. Thank you George and Neil!

Nick Jonas Appears Set To Be Next “American Idol” Judge

Sigh. I really wanted Adam Lambert to be the next "American Idol" judge but if Nick Jonas gets the job, I won't totally be mad.
Nick tweeted over the weekend:
“The rumors are true... I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol.”
#nickonidol started trending almost immediately.
The reason I like Nick Jonas, aside from his solo record, is because of him trying to bring constant awareness to Diabetes. Nick is a diabetic, as I am. Not many people know about the conditions of diabetes and what goes along with it. I look healthy on the outside but for the past few months...my feet have been in constant pain. I try to get the word out about Diabetes but if Nick had that platform, he could be doing a lot to bring even more awareness to the cause.
What do U think of Nick Jonas being a judge on American Idol?

Comedian Patrice O’Neal Dies From Stroke At Age 41
Comedian Patrice O'Neal died at the age of 41 Monday night due to a diabetic stroke he had in October.
His friends at "The Opie And Anthony Show" confirmed he passed away. His booking agent, Matt Frost, released this statement:
"It is with terrible sadness we must report that Patrice O’Neal has passed away this morning at 7:00am due to the complications of the stroke he suffered on October 19.
Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius. His mother, who was also his best friend, was at his side. Patrice is survived by his wife, Vondecarlo; his step daughter Aymilyon, sister Zinder, and his mother Georgia.
The family wishes to thank all of the fans and friends who have expressed an outpouring of love and support for Patrice these past weeks. We ask that you please respect the family’s request for privacy at this difficult time."
Patrice was popular for his unique stand-up routine and was a fixture on several roast specials. On the roasts, they would make fun of Patrice for his diabetes, which a lot of friends did not feel he took seriously, and would joke about his death. His death is no joke......and neither is diabetes.-DocFB

Nick Jonas Honored For Diabetic Awareness

Nick Jonas played a punk teen pop star on "Mr. Sunshine" With Matthew Perry a few weeks ago, but he appears to be nothing like that in real life. Thank God.
Nick Jonas was honored at the 6th Annual Carnival For A Cure in New York City on Sunday. He accepted an award honoring him for bringing awareness to Diabetes and improving life from those suffering from the disease.
Before the ceremony, Nick stated; “I’m looking forward to attending and sharing my story about how diabetes hasn’t slowed me down.”
The Diabetes Research Institute was glad to have Nick there. I am glad for both Nick and the DRI as they are actually trying to find a cure for diabetes.
As some of you know, I suffer from Diabetes type 2 and have been vocal about it. It really is a silent disease that even your close loved ones cannot detect.
Much love to Nick Jonas & the Diabetic Research Institute.-Dr.FB

Good For Drew Carey! Drops 80 Pounds; Beats Diabetes

Drew Carey Then & Now. Photos: GettyImages, AP Photo
Bob Barker may have dissed the host of "The Price is Right" but in the Showcase Showdown, Drew Carey is the winner!
Drew Carey has lost 80 pounds since January with a diet that has no carbs and 45 minutes of cardio a day, 6 days a week. Drew told People.com;
"I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or like, Greek yogurt, cut some fruit."
So why did the famous overweight host want to lose weight?
The thing I am most proud of for Drew? He had diabetes type II and with the weight loss no longer needs the medicine to fight it.
As a diabetic myself, I am happy for Drew and hope to hear he will be doing something for the cause to bring it to the masses attention.
What do you think of Drew's new look?-Dr.FB

Bret Michaels Wins “Celebrity Apprentice”

Bret Michaels File Photo
Bret Michaels not only made it to the "Celebrity Apprentice" finale last night, he won the whole shebang.
It was down to him and Holly Robinson-Peete and it just seemed like with Bret showing up, he was going to win.
Bret won $250,000 for the American Diabetes Association, which being a diabetic myself, am glad he won for that charity. Holly also won $250,000 for her chairty which is for Autism.
Bret was seen in good spirits at the afterparty. He did seem kind of shaky on his feet at the live finale.
Were you rooting for Bret to win?-Dr.FB
