Eddie Van Halen Has Emergency Surgery! Japan Tour Postponed
Eddie Van Halen Photo: Drfunkenberry.com
This tour was supposed to last a few years and with the band getting tired out and now Eddie Van Halen's emergency surgery, it now appears it really will last a few years.
Eddie Van Halen had successful emergency surgery for a severe bout of diverticulitis. That is quite painful.
There is no further surgery needed but Eddie will be recovering for the next 4-6 months.
The Japanese leg of the tour will now take place in 2013.
We wish Eddie and speedy recovery. We hope the pain subsides soon.-DocFB
Diagnosis: Below is video from the rehearsal show at The Forum earlier this year.

Van Halen Los Angeles Forum Review: Homecoming
Van Halen did a 15 song set at the Los Angeles Forum last night. It was the final dress rehearsal and featured thousands of their friends and family.
It was supposed to be a "secret show" but was one of the worst kept secrets as we and others leaked the info shortly before noon yesterday. Kool & The Gang opened the show as they will for the tour and they brought the good time funk. It seems like a weird combo for a tour but it works.

Van Halen Set To Leave Warner Bros. After 35 Years?
It has not been officially announced but it looks like Van Halen is about to leave Warner Bros. Records after 35 years together.
HitsDailyDouble.com is reporting the signing. David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, and Wolfgang Van Halen have been recording together for the better part of a year.
The band was to perform in Australia this month, but have since backed out. There is no status on tour dates although we have heard that they do plan to tour with the upcoming album in 2012.
The announcement of leaving Warner Bros. for Columbia may be delayed due to the news of R.E.M. breaking up and are signed to Warner Bros. as well.-DocFB
